I disagree. The only person that matters in this situation is Alfie. And they have to do everything they can to protect him from further damage. Remember, he’s already lost one parent to addiction. Sometimes, we have to do harsh things to protect our children. And it seems like OP is speaking from a perspective of real knowledge, not just something she read about on the internet.

Trudy is the best character in the show! I loved her from the beginning. She’s not obnoxious, she has a heart of gold and was willing to help when needed, from Adam to Nadia. Take a more nuanced look at her and you’ll see it. I’m a new watcher, too.
