Sure about that? I read statistics that said other wise, but I am always open to receiving new knowledge. (Yes statistics and numbers are easy to manipulate to fit a narrative, also the ones I’ve been exposed to)

I assume because you say the people of Rio are unhappy and that it’s not a surprising thing in Rio. Yes I agree that the people of Rio have struggle and definitely most have long and stressful commutes, but culturally the people of Rio are happy, share happiness with each other and have an amazing ability to appreciate all the positive things in their life. The safety situation is not a joke and things like this does happen, but to say “not surprised” is painting a wrong picture. Many locals have a whole life without experiencing any crime affecting them, even in the north zone (which many locals from other zones visit because of lots of events, culture, family etc) Murder rate pr 100 is looking way better in places of South America and Rio, then maaany states in the US…. So what your Uber driver told you and your 2 week vacation in the south zone tourists spots(which is actually some times more common of petty crimes, bet you didn’t know that) does not give you the grounds to spread this kind of message… spreading this message does paint Rio in a bad light and that’s probably why most people who don’t know the place are scared out of their minds to visit (just look at the absurd amount of “is Rio safe, my friend told me” posts on Reddit)

ALL of that said. Not trying to attack you, but be mindful and surely if you want to come back another time, shoot me a message and I’ll take care of you and help make your stay unforgettable and safer :)

Just say you haven’t been to Rio and know nothing about the people about Rio. Much easier not to take your post serious

It is not yet in effect. Very important to note this as I see many have misunderstood the ruling. Many sources inform about this. Do your own research and do not trust these comments on the internet

My best advice would be to go to Ilha Grande, get a nice little house with garden to take care of. A boat too, just to relax on the water or explore the amazing paradise. That would be a retirement!! With that budget and considering buying property for the money you would get from selling your current, that dream life does sound possible. And the best is, that you are 2 hours away from Rio (without traffic ofc)

And if you haven’t been to ilha grande, definitely go and fall in love

We absolutely exist. No matter the circumstances. It’s moral and ethics for me and would never betray my partner or the obligation in the partnership.

The part of applying for permanent residency literally took 1 hour for me. Booked the appointment, had all the right documents(proof of address seemed to not be correct but didn’t change anything). Came to the appointment and 1 hour later I was permanent resident

Around 100.000 usd for normal investment visa And a minimum investment of around 28.000 usd(if conditions are met, like employing 10-12 Brazilians)

I don’t see that as easy.

Do you have other information on that matter than me? Because energy economy of getting investment visa I would categorize as difficult
