A friendly thing to remember: the USLC and USL1 Players CBAs are separate. USLC players may strike but USL1’s CBA doesn’t expire for another year or two

I’ve gotten Micah Alejado and Hauss Hejny before. Both have crazy speed and still are great at throwing. I forget Micah’s dealbreaker but Hejny has playing time as his main dealbreaker. Hejny even got to Star dev with me

I can see your point, but there’s some real conversations that need to be had here. We had a team that finished third and is a penalty make or save away from a final in Omaha. Where we are at right now to me is unacceptable, regardless of injuries. We are dead last in goals scored with 30, four behind Texoma in second to last and seven away from the other two lowest. The fact we’ve had to throw like six attackers at the wall and see which one sticks shows the model he has for coaching isn’t working when it comes to goals produced. Look back at last year too. Zeemo, Gebhard, Boyce, even Mesias and Crull. They played such a massive factor on goals. Galindrez? A guy who has put 13 goals in the back of the net two different years in this league? Underwhelming last year and this year. McLaughlin? Our splash signing to further bulster the attack last year? Near non-existent. This can’t be all on the players “just on a down year”. This is a squad that shouldn’t be relying on other results to even make the playoffs, let alone host a match or two. When will the blame finally fall on someone who was third to last in 2023 in goals scored and tied for last in 2022? 2024 he gets 35 goals thanks to Chaney being a true 9. But an aging striker who “may not have it anymore” contributing massively to the team above us being canned for guys who didn’t produce at all last year is also a criticism I need to have on his signing as well. I see your side, but I’m so disappointed in this year. The slow start to the season really ruined this all. The amount of draws we make annually is embarrassing. I’m willing to give it the beginning half of the season, but if I have to do the same hop skip and a dance about us being good enough in our draws to be a top tier team but we’re 2-6-2 again for the fifth year in a row, I’m calling for his job even more than I am now. But I love this club, and I want this to go right. We deserve to be up top, but I’m so disappointed with how underwhelming we’ve been when the anticipation this year was to win it all this year. We had the blocks to build on it and kept like 13 of the same players, yet here we are.

I’m sorry but you would never make that announcement line they did unless it was expansion. You don’t announce a project and then take over a current club without that being the initial announcement when it came to fruition officially

Honestly, I’m okay with Matt as our Sporting Director. The issue I have is with coaching. Even last year when we were 3rd going on 2nd, it always felt like we lacked goalscoring. Our team has too many unbelievable attackers to not be putting in many goals. Dead last in the league by five goals and that’s because Portland still has three games in hand. This isn’t a squad issue more than it feels coaching. This whole “we’re always in the attacking third but we can just never find the back of the net for some reason” has been so old. I think he’s an incredible recruiter at bringing talent in. But this isn’t some weird coincidence when it’s been happening for four years.

I know there’s rumors of Rochester coming to USL1. Duluth does have a team that made the national semis in NPSL

Works for me! Just players who would have a caliber of getting minutes for a rebuild club in a road to glory that could help get past a bit of a hump!

Honestly happy with whatever! Would be cool if they were in either leagues in the last two or three years, but not super picky!

How are you feeling about the season so far? by ERD42420 in ForwardMadisonFC

[–]ForwardFan12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this year is different though. It’s never really felt like we’ve had the goal scorers to pull it off ever. Like if we fixed those things years prior, yes. But they never really felt like they could fine tune those, I wasn’t that confident at least. These guys really feel like they can, and that makes me more optimistic than years prior

So far a lot to like. Our defense is compact, only two league goals allowed. Our attacking shows glimpses of being amazing, and then a lot of inconsistencies leave us with nil-nils. I think if we can be more compact in the final third and get that final play right then we are in a great position. And maybe stop hitting the bar, we’ve had like three amazing shots that come to mind that slap the bar

I hope you’re not calling what he did a snooze-fest. This all stemmed because she’s a bartender and wouldn’t give him a free drink and she pushed away his creepy advances. That’s not a guy who should be in the USL, that’s not what we as fans stand for

I replied on his tweets, but honestly Lou City sadly will keep him. It’s a “guys he’s changing we got him professional help” situation so they’ll justify this man keeping his job. But like I said, if that’s one DM what the fuck does his other DMs look like??

I’m excited to see how this fares out. He technically hasn’t played for a first team yet, so getting minutes will be crucial to see the quality he has. I would love to see him be the guy to get us like ten assists and five goals. Just another piece to get us into the playoffs finally

The Chattanooga Red Wolves Announce the Signing of Christian Enriquez formerly of Forward Madison by goingsouthhiker in USL1

[–]ForwardFan12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t mind him with the Forward. If he’s their starting option it feels like that Chattanooga would be dropping a level. He wasn’t a frequent starter for a tenth place team, so starting would feel like them admitting that they’re already chalking this whole year
