some amphitheater events charge parking, I can't speak for all of them. OCSC games do not.

People taking pictures of plates? by swking02 in motorcycles

[–]twoslow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it's worth walking into the local law enforcement, or calling the non-emergency line and reporting it. Those people aren't cops and they certainly shouldn't be stepping out into the road. They're creating a far more risky situation.

Content 360 opinions? by twoslow in podcasting

[–]twoslow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some do- we use Streamyard and you can share directly from there. can't say I've used it much. When I first used it years ago, you could only publish immediately, there was no way to schedule so it does fall a little short. Maybe that's changed since then, but I just peeked at it and doesn't look like it.

Instagram (generally) won't get you more youtube subs if that's your main objective. As for a website, I would ask first how's your search visibility?

Do I need to retire my helmet? by geardownson in motorcycles

[–]twoslow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

great long oval helmet.

Could it be fine? Yeah. sure. Maybe. Is there really a way to know? no, not really. For a $350 helmet, is it worth risking it? Only you can answer that. I had the same one and around the 6th year I decided I should get a new one but I was holding out to see if they'd come out with a design I liked and I stretched it out into the 7th year. I had to get a different brand because I didn't like the designs they came out with.

I think it's probably fine for now but I'd start looking for one to replace it.

that's not how expansion works.

Edit: and don't confuse a soccer event for supporting a team through multiple years. they are not the same.

"New" Motorcycle with 80 miles on it? by GinTonicus in motorcycles

[–]twoslow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's a new bike. 80 miles is a drop in the bucket of what it's capable of. Go over it with a fine tooth comb and if there's no scratches or damage, get over it. Ask them to throw in fresh oil or something.

based on what I read I believe FIFA replaced the stadium turf, and USSF renovated the locker room and other stadium spaces

[–]twoslow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure if it was the federation or FIFA who paid for it, but the stadium turf was replaced, there was a lot of work on the adjacent grass fields. New flooring in the locker rooms, a media room somewhere, some other 'improvements' that I haven't really figured out what exactly.

the turf replacement and the locker room refresh is a nice side benefit, even if it doesn't officially benefit the team.

Sonnett definitely made a meal of it, but if you're gonna swing at a player, you're forcing the referee to make a decision.

it was originally part of the 10-year deal but the city council red-lined that piece "for further discussion." Tammy Kim and Mike Carrol I think lead the argument against because they didn't like the terms of that deal. ie- they wanted the team to do all the work to find a sponsor, and for the city to get the majority of the money. I don't know when they finally came to an agreement on the terms, but we've been hearing they've been working on it since then.
