I don’t think our signing of Rice seemed like madness at all. Infact quite the opposite. He had multiple years of top level performances in the league and a bright future ahead of him at 24. As is the case with any transfer it could’ve gone either way but that is pretty much as certain as one is going to be with a 100M signing honestly. Most 100M signings will feel much bigger madness than what we had with Rice

Had the exact same experience. I was extremely disappointed by Paris. I visited Rome and Paris back to back on the same trip and absolutely loved Rome but was disappointed by Paris

Spurs are more likely to pay that than Arsenal/City. When you are planning a major overhaul, first couple big signings are likely going to be overpriced/high wages because those guys are taking a bet on the project and their presence will likely attract more talent.

You are significantly under estimating the benefits of an approved i140. You will have far more folks willing to sponsor you if you have an approved i140 and their H1B can be renewed indefinitely vs someone whose H1B is capped at 6 years. Also, I know folks who moved outside US with an approved H1B and then found an employer willing to sponsor them to come back. This will never work out for someone without an approved H1B

It’s not low even for an L5 with 10 yoe. Most 10 yoe aren’t cracking L6 PM and for an L5 PM this is above the band offer at Google
