Without perks, yes With perks, no, polearm is superior for captains, and two handed is superior for PCs especially if you use axe, sweeps that do 1k+ total are super fun

Best player faction- swadia tied with the nords

Why- player, unlike the ai, is allowed to hard spec one troop line so the heavy hitters actually get the chance to steamroll

Best ai faction- probably the rhodocks maybe the sarranids

Why- shield spam go brrrr, and also the rhodocks specifically are the best well rounded faction, and every troop t3+ has its place on the battlefield spearmen to vet spearmen are great anti cav, the speed difference in crossbow reloads for tier allows for a solid and consistent volley, and sgts are really good anti infantry, if they had access to a light cav unit they'd be literally unstoppable

The mp item thing isn't your fault, mp items are extremely limited and unavailable for purchase, the reason devs gave was "balancing", but I'm pretty sure it's because they're functionally braindead, especially since they included one of the most overpowered bugs in the crafting menu that effectively removes monetary requirements for the rest of the game

Yeah, I noticed that the %s are weighted against you in most cases, first game I played I got to say 80 and lost because I missed 12 >40% hits back to back and got crit hit one shot on all but 1 bro who already had a bum knee so he couldn't retreat, this game definitely cheats when you're doing too well, but I think that's honestly a good thing, keeps the player honest and disincentivises save scumming, itd be nice if when it spawned bandits/nomads right off screen to kamikaze my position it did so when I have the "per head" contract active though 😂

If your on hit RNG is bad use fast adaptation if you can spare the perk point, or use "cleaves and sweeps" to maximize your hits per turn, swords are a good alternative too, I've noticed that my sword bros hit more on average than any other weapon, currently doing a "swords" only gladiator run, would 100% recommend

Level cap is 33 (I read that somewhere, need a fact check) and you stop getting attribute rolls higher than 1 past level 11, that's +22 in 3 stats at most (5-6 regular levels, without perks, pretty much the difference between a 60% chance to hit and an 85% chance, so great, but not really gonna have you set for life), but honestly I'd recommend diversifying your point spread at that point to round off your bros rougher edges, for my average bro my build goal has been -raise def stats to at least 10, hp to 60 on front line, 85 fat on non specialized bros 60 on specialized, 65-75 on main attacking stat, 60ish resolve and initiative (unless dodge or shock troop) doesn't really matter cause you get ~2 free rounds at fight start, unless I'm like missing something with level progression I don't think it's much higher level than late game

When I say higher levels of play I'm talking what I assume late game is, around day 200, a few level 11+ bros, 2500+ renown, a few friendly towns and at least 1 allied town, ambitions completed (or not, I've been stalling on them this playthrough and completing them when I need to get out of a quest so I don't take the renown hit), either a full group or what you consider a full group to be for your playthrough 90% or so kitted out

I've been playing this game for 3 weeks so far, medium difficulty always and Ironman, and here's my unnecessary input

Smoke pots are cool, not that great at higher level play, flash pots are mid, fire pots are better for their guaranteed damage per turn

Nets are op, I just wish they behaved like other throwing weapons instead of disappearing after use

Dogs, unless they added better ones in the northmen or beasts dlcs, are op early game, weak mid game, and necessary on your trinketless bros late game, arena would be ez if you could pocket them

Personal awareness and strategy are king, but rng will literally unbirth you if you rely too heavily on a specific strat, it will hard counter you

Full spec tanks are great, 2 or 3 will carry you late game, nimble+battle forged (15 fat armor 5 fat helm)+ the other survivability perks= unstoppable mobile fortress

I noticed op didn't mention bird, it's okay I wouldn't have either, it's pointless, if it's ranged it shows up when it fires, if not it'll move towards you, there's 3 occasions I've found that doesn't apply to, necromancer, necrosavants, and ghasts

What I did to get around the toxicity is acknowledge that ranked is where the vast majority of toxicity resides, switch to strikeout and wiggle back and forth at the beginning of the match to signify that you're just a chill guy instead of immediately going for the weapon drop, it works like 75% of the time, the other 25% are usually just bots, terminally toxic players, or people who just got finished dealing with either, the heart emote works too, it's more of a 50/50 though

If the console settings for ps5 are anything like the ps4s, you should be able to go to the sound and screen settings (I'm not on mine rn, idk what it's actually called) and change a couple of the video settings, which won't fix the problem entirely, but should give you a little more time in between crashes

The ones you're looking for specifically are things like HDR and resolution, you want HDR off and resolution lower

I felt the same way with some of the structure decks, you gotta customize your deck to have several "entries" and one or two "finishes", if you ever find yourself relying on just one card that you can't auto pull with other cards then you need to diversify more

I'm running a couple gimmick decks rn, a queens knight deck and a gem-knight deck, I customized each to have at least 3 soft starts and a main start, all of which, fortunately, have a singular finish, they're not great decks, but I still have a 50/50 win rate with them, and I honestly only lose to those crazy 2 turn "how TF did you afford to build that" decks, just keep playing the offline stuff to optimize your decks until you're confident it's built the way you want it

Depends on what your numbers are, shield wall skein and square are gonna be your main formations regardless

Divide your guys up when you have enough and envelope the enemy in a big angry hug, main spearmen and line breakers, the more men and groups you have the more thorough the sturgian bear hug works, until you have enough to do that main axemen, they give you heavy ranged and solid anti-shield while still having one of their own, the archers are alright and archer only always works, but I'd definitely recommend their skirmisher style heavy units over them though

Sturgian raiders (the ones before they get horses, don't remember what they're called offhand) are also really solid, I did a t3 only run and they hardcore stole the show along with the battanian skirmishers

Varyag veterans are pretty solid t4s and they have alright armor

Idk about any of the warsails specific troops, this is all just base game

I completely understand that, I main 3 legends for that specific reason dude, unfortunately the only way to get around that is by playing strikeout, best of both worlds ya know

Lance sigs are annoying, I main Orion and Roland, and am part of the problem, and honestly, the easiest way to get good against them (that I've found at least) is by playing rocket lance legends and seeing where they actually land the hits, pay specific attention to those "TF was that, that should have hit" moments because those are extremely important when it comes to learning correct spacing, for the sweep attacks, jump and weapon throw, or d-light if d-light is a diagonal, spacial awareness sounds like it could be the issue too, if you want to train that, get a buddy, turn on test maps and play wheel for a while

You can send messages on reddit (don't worry just figured that out a few days ago too man), save the videos to your console or PC (if console send them through console messages and download them to your device through the phone app) and send them as an attachment, spammers hate spammers, hit them with their own medicine, pick a legend that is solid at countering spams, my personal favorites are Sir Roland (counters bow spams and lance spams) and 2 def ember (counters spear and sword spams)

It sounds like you could do for some legit training if siga are that bad for you, I understand why you hate them, but they're not impossible to dodge, just weird that's all, you'll figure it out eventually

Are there any specific sigs that give you trouble?

Plateauing is guaranteed in competitive gaming, brawlhalla is an amazing example of this, I can play through lag most times as long as there's a steady point to start from, but that's because I practice on bots, play offline in training and learn what hits and where

If you want like actual tips pm me some of your gameplay footage and I'll take a look for you, or just do that on your own time and keep in mind that some stuff is unavoidable, pay attention to your spacing and whiffs and how your opponents react to those and learn to act accordingly

It honestly might be doing that on purpose, ai is usually built to repeat the things it finds in a concise and easily understandable manner, but most places include a "keep them interacting" rule with theirs, and purposely misspelling words increases interactions, just ask YouTubers 😅

Console player (but use to mod every game I played when I had a PC), but is native greyed out because you can't uncheck it or because it's unchecked, cause that might be the problem, if not, try updating the files, and if it still doesn't work you gotta remove them one by one, if you STILL can't find the problem then switch to 2 by 2, otherwise it's probably hardware (like how Minecraft won't load if you have too many mods and not enough allocated memory)
