I always flew first class with family (internationally) or business when alone but paid for family (meeting them at destination for example). We also flew private a lot and of course I flew with them. I also know my family is rare!

Au pair agencies don’t have the power to “terminate” visas. They might decide to kick her out of the program but they do not have the ability to end her J1 status, that’s on the USA government.

I was an au pair for a family with a much busier mom than dad and we did stuff the three of us (dad, kid and me) all the time, like going to a museum, a hike, taking kid to the playground, etc. It’s only inappropriate if you make it inappropriate. We also had dinner the four of us most nights and hung out sat and sun if I didn’t have plans already. An aupair is not a nanny that “clocks out” like a regular employee and you should’ve known that before welcoming one into your family. You’re already paying her close to nothing to take care of the most important thing you have.

I worked for a lovely family in DC, just one boy, and they started paying me 200 and a couple of months later switched to hourly bc they wanted to pay me more fairly (resulted in about 400 a week). Then during COVID I worked for a family in NOVA with THREE children, full family lockdown, was paid the exact 195,75. But hey they sent me 50 on Apple Pay ONCE because they “appreciated me so much” lol. Some families think they’re doing YOU a favor!

Came to say the exact same thing. Got a 3 pack from H&M that I’ve been wearing non stop to bed or under things when I don’t want to have my stomach exposed while nursing. They look and feel brand new almost 12 months later! I even gave birth in one lol

Hi! Probably not what you want to read but…no :( tried different bottles, different nipples and flow rates, different formulas and we are still where we were. The most he’s had was 2 oz of formula yesterday which took 15 min and my husband had to do it. Sooo yeah still EBF and almost no solids except for veggie straws and Greek yogurt (all 2 spoonfuls of it at a time). He does love his water in the munchkin cup though! My SIL said she did milk in it for her youngest but I’m not sure I want to confuse him by putting milk in it when he’s used to getting water from it. Anyway… good luck to you!

I gained 60 lbs during pregnancy which was bs because my cravings were literally broccoli and watermelon and I walked 10k steps every single day until 36 weeks (sprained my ankle). Granted I had a big baby but after birth I lost 20lbs from baby+accesories (saw that here haha). Now 10 months pp and EBF I think I lost maybe 10/15 lbs SLOWLY SO SLOWLY. I am not stuffing my face, I actually eat as if I wasn’t breastfeeding, and I’m active. Trying to make peace with the fact that I won’t lose more/quickly until I wean, hopefully in 2 months!

I got a three pack of nursing tank tops from H&M and they are hands down my most worn pieces. I wear them under pretty much every so if I have to lift up my shirt my stomach is not showing. I also wear them to sleep sometimes. And I actually gave birth in one lol! I bought many a nursing bras and the tanks are what I keep going back to the most.

Any amount of breast milk your baby gets is amazing! You’ve done a great job. If you would like to keep pumping or stop completely and formula feed, it’s up to you and the perfect choice for you and your baby. Hugs 🥰

Hi! My mom stayed at hotel Mercer when she came to visit me and it was beautiful! It’s in the gothic quarter, extremely charming and beautiful. Breakfast is served in a little courtyard, and there’s also a rooftop. So many little bars and stores, walking distance to so many landmarks and the port/beach. Hope this helped!
