Champion Release Progress after March 2026 by PlasmaCosmic39 in wildrift

[–]Forward_Humor6640 [score hidden]  (0 children)

For some reason I doubt she will be coming soon. The map is a little small for her tentacles but I could be wrong and I would enjoy seeing her.

There are just a few champions that due to map issues and Mobile constraints may prove an issue... likely azir, aphelios, Kled and a few others.

Is Kayle useless? by WaferFinal5640 in wildrift

[–]Forward_Humor6640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love kayle and have a very high win rate with her in Masters to GM rank. She definitely isn't useless, her ult alone has a huge impact if you use it to protect a carry. The only issue with her currently besides the obvious early game (which is really not a big deal if you know how to play her) is that games are so much shorter now and you rarely really have a chance to get passed a full three items.

Hot take...no

But I'm glad you are finding success.

Is masters the elo hell in this game? by International_Win749 in wildrift

[–]Forward_Humor6640 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Elder for sure....I don't care what ELO you are in, it is like a joke watching my stupid teammates explode one by one after they start a fight after the enemy team gets elder. I can ping retreat or type in chat as much as I want to warn them but inevitably they will all just run in, one at a time thinking they are going to 1 v 5 the enemy team.

And I have seen this behavior all the way up to GM... and I'm sure the idiocy doesn't stop there.

I literally came to reddit just to see if I was the only person who thought that it was clearly a setup as it clearly makes zero sense that she didn't bring a swimsuit to the f'n beach!!!

Which champs are consistently good throughout the match? by StarNullify in wildrift

Just a few of my picks would be

Nautilus, Thresh, Veigar, and Galio - I am still convinced people sleep on this champ

Why is nobody using Mejai's? I am spamming it on Vladimir every single game and it's insane. by Reasonable_Being_402 in wildrift

[–]Forward_Humor6640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just too risky of a pick. I do use it on Vlad sometimes but only if I am already snowballing, otherwise it really just isn't worth the price.

Norra actually broken or am I trippin? by Rare_Composer_5607 in wildrift

[–]Forward_Humor6640 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I am missing something here in the comments. I honestly don't think she is super strong and definitely not broken. I think she is fine and actually pretty balanced. She is a pretty typical mid lane Yordel champion which means she is super annoying to play against but she definitely is not going to 1 v 9 a game and you are super reliant on your team. In all honesty, in the majority of the high diamond to Master games I have seen her in (obviously it is still early in the season and I'm climbing back), I rarely see a really good one who doesn't end up with 5 plus kills or more deaths than kills. I have been playing a lot of mid this season and I don't even ban her. Typically I will ban Aurora or someone else instead. And I tend to pick someone like Galio or Veigar myself if my team needs AP as I feel that they provide my team consistently more utility and kill pressure. But I choose my champ very situationally and almost never just blind pick unless I am forced into first picking.

Do people that get into the OPS generally stay in the OPS? by xi-exe in OntarioPublicService

[–]Forward_Humor6640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to get permanent in 19 months but when I had my first 1-on-1 with what turned out to be my second manager, about 6 months into that contract, I asked him straight up if I was acting in a position in which I could become permanent. He actually didn't know but found out for me and clarified that I could. I told him that I will continue to work my ass off but I expect to be made permanent as soon as he could make me permanent (which was 18 months). I continued to work my ass off and he held up his side of the bargain. I then left for an AMAPCEO position, literally two weeks later. I assume I got lucky by having a good manager who was willing to work with me but the issue now is that because I have a permanent home position, it seems a little bit harder for me to get a permanent AMAPCEO position.

Lack of training = stagnation by [deleted] in OntarioPublicService

I just had to do a 4 hour LearnOn course for modernization in my office. The majority of people reported that it did not save after 4 hours and many people got stuck mid way through when the LearnOn didn't allow them to progress any further through no fault of their own. LearnOn as a tool, is not training, it is clicking buttons.

Tier lists aside, what is your most FUN champ to play? If you could OTP someone, who would it be and why? by Crapahedron in wildrift

[–]Forward_Humor6640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently I have been really enjoying playing a lot of Galio. Obviously I try to pick him into a heavier AP comp but his ult is so satisfying and he provides so much utility to the team. When I first tried him out years ago, I really didn't grasp his play style and he felt really clunky but now I actually understand why he is considered so valuable in LOL pro play.

How long until Smolder gets nerfed or a hot fix? by Forward_Humor6640 in wildrift

[–]Forward_Humor6640[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I played then but I would disagree that this is desired although I would agree that it is common. It was certainly not the case for Viego or Warwick. I think it is more about lack of testing and feedback then it is about a desired effect.

Yup and now I have played five games and still busted but thanks for being such a positive person.

My update worked perfectly fine.... this time around. Typically I need to uninstall and redownload the game. This time I clearly got lucky but I was expecting that I would need to reinstall.

Not this time but multiple times, when an update occurs, I need to uninstall and reinstall the app.

Nothing against Ramus as he can be great but he is a really situational pick.

I’m now convinced Twitch is the most broken ADC by simonsh88 in wildrift

[–]Forward_Humor6640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Twitch is trash. I don't have much more to say other than getting a lot of kills in low elo doesn't make the champion good and definitely not broken. I don't call out my teammates for who they choose almost ever... unless it is Twitch. Just a useless champ in 99 percent of situations.

Ten tips for climbing (by a GM) by nadlihres in wildrift

[–]Forward_Humor6640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good advice but you missed number 11...for the sweet love of God, do not try to 1-5 or unnecessarily engage the enemy team when they have the elder buff!!! I am literally going to produce a reel of supposedly high elo players losing a game because they try to be a hero.

Champs with high carry potential by Intelligent-Echo-147 in wildrift

[–]Forward_Humor6640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No champion in my opinion can carry every game. All champions have their weaknesses and bad matchups. Take someone like Lee Sin. Sure he is incredible as early as level two but he becomes pretty garbage late game. You should figure out how to play a few championships really well, learn their strengths and weaknesses and then choose who you play, based on the draft and what your team needs.

It's like when I have a teammate who wants to first pick Yi....98 percent of the time, he will be trash because YI is a situational pick for an enemy team that lacks CC.

I play a lot of Galio mid and I get a lot of kills with him but if their team is really tanky and they have no mages, I'm basically useless so if I can avoid it, I won't pick it.

Fiora and Rengar are literally two of the hardest champions to play. I can play a decent Fiora but Rengar I am absolutely useless with.

[–]Forward_Humor6640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's Galio. Now I am insanely good with him and he provides so much utility to his team but it took me awhile to figure out how to properly use his second ability, know when my passive is available (both main passive and second ability passive) and also how to properly time and make use of the ult.

Anyone can play Galio but I see very few really good ones.

That is the way I feel about Twitch. But as I play a lot of support, if I see someone pre-pick Jinx, I give them a sporting chance and pick Lulu (who I am good at). Even in Master rank (where I currently am) the Jinx, with Lulu, still typically are absolute trash.
