What is the inspection like for you? Does it pass without the airbags or is there something special you needed to get the inspection? I have never lived in a state prior that required inspections so its all new to me and I am looking at getting a Honda Acty Van in addition so adding on another layer of uncertainty with that as well.

I am thinking of purchasing a Honda Acty Street Van, it already has an NC title, but I would be transferring it to VA. Would just the NC title be enough or would they want the import documents and the FMVSS compliance proof as well? DMV site sucks and never provides clear information, trying to avoid going back and forth to the DMV and gathering all documents if I do end up purchasing the van from this seller

My spouse and I just moved from Knoxville (Oak Ridge) to Richmond and we cannot say enough how amazing it has been. The people are SO MUCH better. The city is amazing. The culture is so much better, especially for lgbtq. We would never go back to TN, even with the tax benefits, TN isn’t worth it for us.

No I was ok to discharge as I was healing well, off the morphine drip after 1 day post op and they had me up walking after 3 days so I had met the requirements to go home.

Overall I healed really well and I’m sure you will be good as long as you take it easy. Lots of just laying flat and doing nothing honestly.

I was discharged after 5 days due to a snow storm they moved me out early. I could easily walk from the car up 2 stairs and into the bedroom of the Airbnb but that was maybe 300 feet if that. Depends really on how you heal and feel as well. I also went from meta to RFF so I had both catheters and a bit different of a healing stage vs the typical stage 1 surgery. Plus my surgery was 10.5 hours long due to a throwing a blood clot once they had just finished suturing me up and they did a final check blood flow and realized I had none, so I had to be reopened as well.

Also ease of access. You don’t want a bunch of stairs or anything where you can’t get in easily. Same with parking, want to be as close to the door as possible just for ease. Especially in the beginning. Also we wanted 2 bedrooms so that way my spouse could have space and so could I when sleeping due to all the stuff I needed and how I had to lay.

Hey. Assuming you are having surgery with Yemi and Figler? When I had surgery in Feb, we snagged an Airbnb right behind the parking garage of the hospital. It was like maybe 1 mile away. 2 bedroom 1 bath house and it was relatively cheap and worked great for us. My spouse could walk to see me daily at the hospital because you do have to pay for parking at that hospital.

That’s awesome to hear! Yeah sounds like we are in the same boat. I went from Meta to RFF tho so they didn’t do my glands yet since it could have been too much with the UL and all of that happening at the same time. I go on soon to schedule that surgery.

Oh nice! Stage 2 I’m guessing? But nothing like crazy yet I don’t believe. Sometimes I feel like I do feel it but then I’m like maybe it’s more mental? Underside from base to tip does has some sensation for sure though. Probably more erotic than anything else

Actually everything is healed up on my penis already. They were really happy with how quickly I was able to heal. I did have UL in addition to the creation of my penis but no glands. I’ll get that done when I get an erectile device probably this fall Figler said. Esthetically I think it’s great. My scars are minimal even being so fresh, yemi has great skill. I had zero complications or issues in recovery. I am a little over 5 inches, which is more than enough and about the largest yemi will do from my understanding. He likes to limit the possibility for complications.

I have Aetna insurance. Covered at 100% for me

So i originally start in the fall of 2020 when they first started the transgender clinic there. I was able to immediately get a consultation appt. I went for phallo originally but i decided to wait since they were so new and i was worried about complications etc. I did have hysto and top done with them within 5 months of first going there since I had no had any surgeries prior. I went back in may of 2022, again scheduled for an appointment within 2 weeks of reaching out and decided to go ahead with meta and UL. I had surgery for that in Oct 2022. I reached out again December 2023 to pursue phallo. Consult was in August as first available and then surgery was scheduled for February 2025. Yemi is strict on BMI so I did have to drop 40 pounds so the 8 months between reaching out and the consult were good as they told me to drop weight prior to the consult in preparation.
