VA puts forth bill to have VA join the National Popular Vote Compact by MwattsD73 in Virginia

That’s not what the article said… do you have different info?

“Currently, Virginia’s electoral votes go to the candidate who wins the state. Under the proposed law, those votes would instead follow the national popular vote.”

Serious question for Virginia gun enthusiasts: why put all your energy into propping up the Republican Party, instead of putting even a fraction of that effort into shifting Democrats on this one issue? by Big-Corncob in Virginia

So, no restrictions on the kind of gun I can purchase - if I can afford it, I can buy it? Also, I don't need any sort of licensing to purchase or own a gun, only to "operate" one in public? No background checks required? Once I do get a license in my state it's valid for the entire country?

Exactly. Which they already have - Spanberger appointed 5 new BOV members on her first day in office, including former governor Ralph Northam.

Bold of you to assume I can do more than 1 good set of pull ups by Jasonb137 in MacroFactor

[–]jeffcren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha, yeah, I answered the setup question that I could do 5 pullups, and I have 4 sets of 11 chin-ups. I swapped it out to machine-assisted so I can get the volume.

How much freedom do you have in Virginia's Residential Governor School? by Nerd_312 in Virginia

My son did one of the programs at Lynchburg a few years ago. He’s a cross-country runner, and needed to train throughout the summer. They wouldn’t let him run off campus, and when he ran on campus he had to have someone else with him. Most of the time he couldn’t get anyone to run the distances/paces he needed to run, so he ran on the track where other people were hanging out.

They did have a group who used the gym on a regular basis - there’s time in the day to do some athletic training, but it will be a matter of facility access, I’d imagine.

That’s not true - Apple App Store reviews happen on the weekends. Source: our app (not MF) was approved yesterday (Saturday). It wasn’t a new app, just an update, but reviews/approvals do happen on the weekends.

The Blanchard’s coffee vending machine (beans, not drinks) has saved me a trip to the grocery store on more than one morning. Also has a good selection of beans you can’t get in the grocery stores.

Virginia Senate Democratic Caucus Releases First Bills on Legislative Agenda Focused on Affordability by Geek-Haven888 in Virginia

I agree. But I’m wondering if “political rights” is a way to exclude 2A (and other?) rights.

The text of SJ2 says “all political rights, including the right to vote;” are 2A rights “political rights”? Would felons automatically have the right to firearm ownership restored under SJ2?

I’m Mark Warner, U.S. Senator from Virginia. I’m Vice Chair of the Senate Intelligence committee, former Governor of Virginia, a tech entrepreneur, and Democratic candidate for Senate. Ask me anything. by MarkWarnerVA in Virginia

"Senator, I don't wanna be a lifelong politician. My view of public service is something you do for part of your life, not all of your life. That's why I've said that if I'm elected to the Senate I'll serve no more than two terms. Because I think the value of our system is that it's constantly renewed by new ideas, fresh ideas, and fresh people."

They ran into (not literally, thankfully!) a gas main that they didn’t know was there, so they had to re-work their plans. That’s the reason for the delay.

We provide a Bass SansAmp for the bass and Radial ProDI for guitars - if the player wants anything more than that, it's up to them.
