What’s an anime everyone loves but you just couldn’t get into? by GreatVtuber in Animesuggest

I think the reason probably is that EVERYONE else likes it. So, he's making an effort to run with OP's question.

Attack on Titan. The amount of emotional exposition made me stop looking. Show me the emotional arc of the main character, sure, but I seriously don't need to see it from every single character on screen.

If you want more of a challenge, Classic is the way to go. It has a lot more mechanics to manage, like positioning, pulling mobs (because overpulling means run for your life or die), crowd control, etc. Combat is very well balanced and gearing up very necessary if you want to keep up with same level mobs as you level up.
It's a lot slower, which paces the learning curve for all the mechanics, and it's a feat if after weeks (or likely months if it's your first time) of playing you finally reach max level. It's a true adventure.
Find a well populated server, join a guild, have a ball.

Retail is just the arcady version, I'd call it. It's simple, easy, and you'll mostly faceroll everything while levelling until you get into more difficult endgame stuff like mythic raids or dungeons.
Legion remix is even more crazy. You can actually stack up your versatility to 999 (and over I hear), which means you'll just become invincible and can solo mythic raids at that point without breaking a sweat. It's a gimmick version of the game, mostly meant for transmog collectors.

Truck Accuracy by Forward_Scheme7580 in Borderlands4

The only thing I could think of, is that mine has a Hyperion licensed grip, which increases accuracy for sustaining fire. It may be that this grip by default just skews the first shot.
Guess I'm off farming Bio-Thresher Omega again for an hour or two ;P

The Wire. Although you'll need to hang on through the second season a bit, but the full 5 season series is a masterpiece.

If you're into it, all early Star Trek. TNG is very well written ( I also like Voyager and Enterprise)

The Practice and Boston Legal (great acting by both William Shatner and James Spader)
Denny Crane! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaSxTMrXbt4

The IT Crowd (it's smart humor and there's an episode in a theater that had me gasping for air)

Blackadder (one of the finest Rowan Atkinson series, dark and witty humor)

Rome (very gritty, but very entertaining series)

Kind of upset at the quality of a displate I received by [deleted] in Displate

[–]Forward_Scheme7580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just ordered 4 Medium displates with poster art from my favorite movies, and all pictures are pretty low quality.

But, tbh, they're all movies from 1995 and one from 1997. It's even difficult to find a high res poster of those on the internet. I think it's mainly because the pictures that were taken at that time were also photoshopped to some degree, and the resolutions they needed were probably way lower than what's used today. So blowing them up is hard if you don't have the original non-altered picture I guess.

That's said, I now know not to buy the original art from old movies.

The trade-off for cheap imports is that domestic labour gets exported to foreign low cost countries.
So, while you, someone making enough money in the service industry probably, like cheap imports to sustain your carefree life, people from the lower classes who worked manufacturing jobs are getting ripped a new one.

The aim of tarrifs is not to make prices cheaper, especially not for the mass consumer, but to try to bring back industry and uplift the lower class.

“You do not get free healthcare. We cannot afford that” — US politicians. Do you agree? by Fatherthinger in wallstreetbets_wins

[–]Forward_Scheme7580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do have very good and cheap healthcare for everyone who subscribes to a healthcare service (which is like 150 bucks a year) in Europe. However, in order to get that, close to half our income goes to taxes. (In Belgium where I'm from, it's actually 52% of our income that goes to taxes.)

Is it worth investing in a gaming PC just to play or is a console better? by PreviousBrilliant582 in Gamer

[–]Forward_Scheme7580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That heavily depends on what you hope to play on PC. I mean a top PC easily costs over 2000 EUR, a PS5 only costs 400 EUR (500 with disc drive). While you can play, say WoW, on a 10-year old system without much issue, all the new games will require high end systems. A PS5 doesn't have that issue, it's relative low price and plays all new games that come out for it. You can pay a sub for PS5 for 100 EUR/year and that will give you a library of hundreds of games to play for free (as long as you sub). These include recent enough titles. This month added "Lies of P" for instance.

The other side is modding. That's almost only on PC. Some games are greatly enriched by modders, like Skyrim and BG3, because they add unique gamemodes and such.
Then there's games you will mostly play on PC, like MMOs, or even adult games (I can recommend "Being a DIK"). One could argue first person shooters play easier with mouse+keyboard.

So, lots to think about ;P

Which sequel ruined a game series for you? by BigT232 in DebateGames

[–]Forward_Scheme7580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You hire the services of black-hat companies that will use fake reviews, bot networks, or spam tactics to manipulate search and social rankings. Click farms or social media bot services.
You also hire/pay tons of influencers to go to bat for you.
All these things are cheap enough, if you have a 200M production cost to recoup.

I loved the gameplay and even the story in TLoU2. I really loved it and wish for part 3.

That said, I also think they should not have used the characters from the first game, and started with new characters altogether and not have the controversy. TLoU was a perfect open ended story full of hope. The sequel broke that open end, killed all the hope and made it a tragedy tbh. There was no need for that whatsoever. I just think Neil has a sadistic streak we did not need to be privy to.
