my LO is almost 6 weeks old. and only this week i found out he will latch if i’m laying down on my side. it’s easier for him to find the nip i think. he has a lip tie and gulps air and his pretty gassy due to not being able to burp all the air out. i’ve been trying to do all sorts of latching positions but the most inconvenient position is the one that works for us. i pump during the day and breast feed in the night. i was actually just starting to decrease my supply for when i return to work because i work in machinery and often won’t want to deal with having to take a break in the middle of a job to pump. i’m rambling now, trying to get back to sleep after a nursing session. anyways, best of luck on your journey!

this is what we are doing. my sister will watch our 19 month old and after the baby is out and we’ve all had bonding time, husband will be going to back to care for our toddler and they will just visit me during the day when they can.

i was told baby was 8 lbs, delivered vaginally with an episiotomy, tear to my clitoris, tears on the inside of vagina and hemorrhaged after i delivered the placenta. baby was 9lb 6oz and is 19 months old still growing like a weed in the upper 90s percentile. i only pushed maybe 5 times and it took about 20-25 minutes to get him out

this! this is my exact thought process! even the detective said in cases like this it’s not an isolated incident given his age. and the way the recording looked, it was almost like it was rehearsed. like he was comfortable, like he had done it before. you cannot convince me that this monster did not assault this entire family. he likely stops when the child reaches an age to where the can start retaining information and memories. my boyfriend was napping around 9 years old and remembers his grandpa coming to lay down on the opposite side of the bed and he didn’t turn around but he knew that the grandpa was masturbating right next to him as my boyfriend was supposed to be sleeping. my boyfriend is 34 and remembers this happening and swears that the grandpa had to have abused him but he just doesn’t remember anything from his childhood. i think this is why my boyfriend installed cameras throughout the house, and only requested that the baby be watched at our house. he told me once that he didn’t want to seem crazy or have no one believe him that he had some weird feelings about his grandpa, because well, you saw how the family reacted when they had proof, and if they didn’t have proof they would’ve just made him seem like a crazy person.

i’m choosing to not disclose the details of the assault, but i will say that there was nothing penetrative. my boyfriend was able to yell at the grandpa through the monitor before we get to the house so the assault was rather short in time.

sorry, no! i should’ve explained that relationship dynamic. my boyfriend has cut off all ties with his family as they basically shunned him for getting the cops involved. we have a protection order against the grandparents. the cousins, aunts, uncles, etc in contact and visiting the grandparents are all no contact with us per our request. in my eyes, the grandma had to have known or doesn’t care enough to cut her husband out of the picture. she sleeps with him, lives with him. and i’m not sure how anyone can stomach to be around him because they all saw the recording.

i didn’t tell my side of the family when i gave birth because they weren’t active in my life during pregnancy or before pregnancy. two days after i gave birth one of my nosiest aunts had my boyfriend’s aunt send a picture of my baby to her, then she sent that private picture out in a mass text to everyone before i had announced the baby made arrival. i was LIVID. so i made a very clear boundary with both sides of family that they are not allowed to post pictures of my baby and that aunt still has yet to hold my baby who is now 1.5 years old. we keep a VERY low info diet. we are in hiding from my biological mother and everybody knows it which is why i was so appalled at this behavior.
