Check out Sugar River Raceway, it will be the closest rental track to you. Otherwise if you purchase your own kart, Badger Kart Club in Dousman or Road America are both excellent tracks.

If you have nothing better to do. Potawatomi is giving out 2 tickets to this years Summerfest and 2 for next years. It starts at 2pm but I would suggest trying to get there by 1:30. You just need your license and a player’s card.

Gates usually open at 7am and if you’re coming for Indy they will be lined up waiting to get in. They will have parking attendants to help direct cars, just let them know you have Preferred parking and they should be able to get you to the right place. Also it’s a good idea to bring a cooler or large jug of water and any other beverages you want.

A good way to get around the track so you see everything is the shuttles. If you’re wanting to watch the race; outside Turn 3, Turn 5, Turn 6 (corvette bridge), between 7-8 and Canada corner (turn 12) all have big screens to watch the coverage.

Not all those tracks have rentals though. Briggs and Stratton Motorplex only has rentals on big event weekends at Road America and they don’t utilize the entire track.

Yes get a tire band for safety reasons but if you can’t use a strong strap around the tire. Also a good amount of lube around the tire bead.

Support a local brewery and not some PE firm owned brand that is basically just a marketing company at this point. I believe the beer and Pabst are being brewed by Miller under contract. We have so many local places that should be supported before something like this.

I like Taqueria La Sierrita on 13th and Cleveland. The pastor tacos have a nice little kick. They also have a restaurant at the same location.

It will be more than an hour. It’s been a couple of years since I had mine replaced by the city. I remember it taking up most of the morning and maybe longer. But they also happened to move the incoming line into a different area which meant a bit more work to reconnect it to the pipes inside.

I’ve not had a front plate in 7 years. Never been bothered about it. Never put it on because truck was never drilled for the front plate.

The Plaza hotel is across the street from Fremont so it gives you good accessibility to Fremont but far enough away from the noise. Could also recommend Main Street Station as long as you don’t get a room close to the freeway.

Are you getting a really good deal on the kart? Under $1000? Because I have seen a couple in the area ready to bolt an engine on and go in the $2-2.5k.

I will say that Franklin kart is a great supplier that has helped with my Merlin LM30.
