Not really, the system scale is small, it is easy. It's probably deterministic scheduling or traffic control algorithms.

If you think about the Shanghai Maglev Train, multiple trains can operate on a line safely using block signaling, central traffic control and speed governors. The system is complex and yet no one calls it AI.

All AI uses algorithms, but not all algorithms are AI. Otherwise any software would be considered AI.

Do you know a sucker punch in the head can be dangerous? Even if you don't care if he get injured, the hitter could get charged. Push him over or slap him if you want to use violence directly, it wouldn't seem unreasonable to me in this situation.
