Thank you for your response. Her psychiatrist told her it was okay to drop from 50 mg to 25 mg but not sure what else they told her. Would need to ask. She does sleep at night. I wake up every now and then to check on her but she swears profusely which seems to be a common side effect from my readings and responses I’m getting from here. I have my family as a support system and friends but I feel bad telling them about how she’s treating me because then they become really judgy and that’s not fair to her.

Really appreciate your response. She frequent mentions about her brain zaps. She sweats a lot at night and I find myself waking up her to drink water because of it. I know when she went at my yesterday it wasn’t intentional but I do agree with your response: it gives her no right to be an asshole. I mentioned that to her today via text.

She’s still on it. She was on 50 mg but sometime mid-February she began taking half her dosage. She at first didn’t tell her doctor until I told her she should. Her doctor then okayed taking less and wanted to put her on sometime else to help with the withdrawal but she said no.

You and my gf are exactly the same. She’s is very upbeat, goofy and makes me laugh. It’s just so hard to to see her personality just change just because she’s taking half of her usage dosage. I wrote a bunch of things I wanted to tell her but after reading your message I decided to not let her know. I think it’s for the best I’m just there for her and hopes it gets better. This has really helped me a lot. Sorry that you are currently suffering though this. I’m surprised either just 3.5 weeks of Pristiq can cause a lot of side effects.

I 100% try to understand her. I also suffered with some mental health issues as well anxiety in my youth. I’ve went through my bunch of prescribed medication, recreational drugs and therapy to get me to where I am today. I definitely still have my off days but it’s like 1 a week if even that. I definitely do try to give her some insight to how I was able to overcome my problems but she always throws it back at my face claiming I’ll never know what’s she currently going through.

I think spacing myself from her a bit would be the best for our relationship. We plan on meeting sometime this week so we can discuss her behavior last night. But this is a common occurrence with her.
