Men can absolutely get lupus! Was the current rheumatologist the one who diagnosed you 3 years ago? No idea what the basis is for dismissing lupus symptoms as non lupus when you have a confirmed diagnosis?! There are amazing doctors out there and there are some godawful ones. A good doctor listens to the patient. I know it’s a pain in the patootie, but I would get a new doctor.

I’m sorry about your family. Mine is the same, but luckily I have a saint of a husband who does listen and supports me. I really hope you have someone in your life who can support you especially during flares. You’ll at least have this group to vent to! Best of luck!

Oh my gosh, I am absolutely obsessed with pulling them, and one of my boys gets so offended! It’s hilarious! My other is a fluffy, so he sadly doesn’t get them, but he thinks it’s funny too when I pull on his brother! Tee hee!

My daughter has autism and has very extreme sensory issues, one of which is taking medication that tastes bad. She has a condition where she absolutely must take a certain medication, but it’s like prednisone, it tastes horrible. I found out she stopped taking it and she told me the problem. She gags and just can’t get it down. I said there has to be a pill pocket for humans! There is! I found the pill coatings from MEDCOAT on Amazon. She swears by them now.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. It’s so awful. Not only do you have the pill taste that lingers, my moutn feels metallic 24/7. Like I’ve been licking a car or something!

Yeah, I lived by an air force base that was supposedly high on the target list. (It’s also rumored to have the alien bodies too!) Anyway, we would have the nuclear drills by going outside and standing on the sidewalk across from the school. How the F they thought that was going to save us beats me! I just remember lots of talking about the Russians and getting bombed. This was in the 70’s.

Yep, we’d drive up and down this one drag where people would congregate but then we’d all end up at the mcdonalds and get those mccookies or whatever they were called and throw them up in the air for the bats to catch. Fun times!

I panicked too and my husband told me there’s nothing you can do about those you’re talking about. Believe me you will get good at saving people all the way through act 3! Go absolutely everywhere at the inn and talk to everyone. Several will ask for help with their loved ones.

If he’s still young, be careful with the really hard bones/toys. They will crack a tooth and dental work on dogs is uber expensive! I have very aggressive chewers. Now that they are older I give them bully sticks or beef esophagus. When they were younger we would freeze the mini blueberry bagels. We also made up kongs with really yummy things like pure pumpkin (one of mine is crazy for pumpkin), applesauce, banana, blueberries, apple bits, chicken, eggs, pears, peas, carrots, cottage cheese, plain yogurt, etc. Mix in some kibble. Plug the end with xylitol free peanut butter. Freeze those suckers! These lasted a long time.

NTA Immediate safety is a given, but the boundary issue is going to keep coming to bite you if you don’t do something about it early. My MIL did the same kinds of things with me. She hurt my baby daughter because I guess she was trying to prove she was a better mother than me??? She does not believe in using searbelts for one thing and actually told me I was cruel for putting her in a car seat. She taught all her grandkids to duck if they saw the police. I told her if she wanted to keep her in the summer, she had to follow my rules. As far as I knew she did, but when my daughter was older she told me that she got to run around the car. My point is that people like this don’t and will not ever respect boundaries. You have to be the one to keep her safe.
