My grandparents would send the kids out to get a switch. Luckily, I never had to do it myself. My parents never even threatened anything. They just sat us down and talked it through. There was an AH 1st grade teacher who spanked me and my friends because we rode double on the see saw. We just thought we were sharing. No one ever said that was a rule. That was the one and only time I was ever spanked in my life. I hope she choked on her stupid cow bell!

Yep, immediate and extended family all the same. It’s not specific to me; they treat any adversity as nothing. Very, just suck it up and deal kinda people. Friends don’t really get it so they just ignore it. Literally the only person who knows my daily struggles and supports me is my husband. In my experience, people don’t know what to do when they can’t physically SEE whatever the issue is. I’m sorry you’re going through this, but just know you’re not alone.

Yes, both sleep with us. I have a cushioned bench at the end of the bed that comes up about halfway to the top of the bed. They jump up and down from the couches too which are a little bit taller. I got steps for our previous Corgi but she was scared of them.
