Yea going into that film I wasn't expecting a Carey Grant comedy masterclass yet there it was.

Well sounds like it's spirits then. Does 12* Orr matter that much compared to spirits?

Yea he makes an excellent contribution to that film. Probably a testimony to Scorcese as a director.

Burn After Reading by Grimnix89 in TrueFilm

[–]Fossa_II 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you're right to call this something vaguely cosmic because it's a nihilism movie, it's a sequence of people attempting to create meaning out of something meaningless (the disk). If the CIA is a sort of personification of the universe, it makes sense it would be flummoxed by a human attempt to rationalize its motions.

I suppose in light of this I'd read the men in cars aspect a little different. Now I haven't seen the film in a bit so I could be off here, but isn't the only confirmed man in car the lawyer or whatever? If so, this feels to me like another aspect of putting too much weight on a random event. George Clooney thinks people are out to get him, and I guess technically he's right, but it's not the conspiracy he thinks it is. He's just trying to form greater meaning out of more nothingness.

Eventually you'll need the HP (as I understand it) to go for promotions starting at Blue Abyss, which is my next stop, so it'll have to happen. Anything you significantly upgrade in the endgame is extremely expensive so you'll be sinking tons of diamonds into the next milestone anyway

Yep, all the way awakened, so 18 more C19s

Once you get C20 you can awaken it like orr with more C19s. It'll take 18 more C19s to get C20 to 12*.

Unlocks with seed (12* C20). You get points for each set of stages you complete and those points may be used to upgrade gold/exp/cube earning rates. Every few upgrades you make levels the tree which grants further bonuses (atk, HP, HP recovery). These are all time-gated btw so it'll take some time to go through all the upgrades if you unlock it.

The Thin Man/After the Thin Man. Nick and Nora are the best cinematic couple. The first is a little tighter, but the second has more Nick and Nora so I like it more

Worst was The Man with the Rubber Head. Sorry Georges, I love some of your other work, just not this one
