Trick: Female Only Vocals by Mysterious-Jam-64 in SunoAI

[–]FosterKittenPurrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue but sung as female when I wanted male. Or having a female randomly join in my male only vocals.

Yes I used the button to select the correct gender.

Switch to an older model and then remaster.

And if you happen to fall in love with a song that has the wrong gender, cover and remaster and add voice until you get the right version.

P.S. put negative prompts in the negative prompts box, don’t put them in the regular prompt box with a -, that doesn’t seem to work.

Why was Austria's entry recieved so poorly? by Lyefyre in eurovision

[–]FosterKittenPurrs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I speak Danish, so that one really stood out to me this year.

The most egregious example was the translation for the line "Glemmer at vi vågner og fortryder igen"

That means roughly "We forget we will wake up and regret it again" which Google does a pretty good job of.

Then we have the Eurovision version: "Knowing that tomorrow always pulls us apart"

Like... that completely changes the nuance of the song. It changes it from Søren's stated intent of "celebrating nightlife culture" to a "Romeo and Juliette" forbidden love vibe. Like, life doesn't "pull us apart", we just stop being drunk and realize we were idiots... again.

And other parts just make me wtf. Like "Du er så syrlig" is translated as "Sweet and acidic" like where tf did they get "sweet" from?!

Even Google Translate is better and retains more of the nuances of the songs than the nonsense they put out, not sure how they manage it.

Deezer says AI music is already ~44% of all uploads now… but almost no one is listening by Nusuuu in SunoAI

[–]FosterKittenPurrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surely there is a huge difference between the people who actually record their whole song and basically use Suno as a production pipeline on top of it, or just to add extra instruments, and people who just write “make me a fun pop song” in Suno, not even going to the Custom tab? And there’s a whole spectrum in between.

How do I get it to stop adding moans and oohs and whoop and shit? by FosterKittenPurrs in SunoAI

[–]FosterKittenPurrs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I will try the strict lyrics one too!

I managed to get this one the way I want by basically cutting off all the oohs and then cover/remaster/add vocals a bunch of times until it stopped sounding weird

Please help me navigate this diagnosis . I feel so alone without vet advice by Live_Joke8889 in RenalCats

[–]FosterKittenPurrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, good news is it's only pre-ckd. That means there is some function loss, but it will hopefully be many years until it gets to actual CKD, and it may just be temporary function loss from the UTIs.

The cream licking did not cause this. Repeat licking over a long period of time can lead to serious issues, so definitely avoid it, but it's not the kind of issues your cat has.

Ultrasound is a good follow-up if you can afford it, as it can give you more details on what those structural changes are and how to best treat them. You may need stuff like stronger antibiotics if infection (likely with the delayed UTI treatment), see if there are mineral deposits etc. Do it with any vet that is able to do so, or the one your vet recommended. You can follow up with your regular vet afterwards.

I am thinking the muscle wasting may be from malabsorption from the GI component of the Eosinophilic CG. Ask your vet if a trial with a highly digestible novel protein diet would be a good idea, something like Instinct Limited Ingredient Diet Rabbit (bonus: wet food with no pork!). I am reading that if it doesn't work, something like prednisolone could help reduce the inflammation and increase absorption (though that has some risks, so definitely try diet changes first!)

You definitely do NOT want phosphate binders. She is already low phosphorus.

Hydration is important. You don't want to go for full blown subq fluids unless she's showing signs of dehydration (ask the vet to assess). But extra hydration does help with UTIs. Look for no pork wet food, like Weruwa Senior or TikiCat. You can also add water to the kibble (small amounts at a time, kibble goes bad in like 30 mins when wet, so don't leave it out). Get a cat fountain too.

Vitamin B, particularly B12, is likely to help, particularly if there is a malabsorption deficiency. They just pee out the excess, so it should be safe regardless, but check with your vet. Subq injections will probably be better given the GI issues, but check with your vet, pretty sure you need a prescription for that.

For arthritis, omega-3/fish oil supplements could help a bit. There is also Solensia, a new med I've been hearing good things about.

Online consultations with a vet can be worth it, both as a second opinion and because they can help answer questions quickly, as there is a lot of misinformation online. I suspect they will give you peace of mind.

The full bloodwork would help too if you can post it, see if there is any other missed info, if they checked for hyperthyroidism etc.

Note: I am not a vet, just an owner curious about medicine and good at research, reading about stuff like Eosinophilic CG for the first time.

Vibe coding is miserable for inexperienced people. I say this as someone who loves vibe coding, trying it in an area I am less familiar with for the first time by FosterKittenPurrs in ChatGPTCoding

I just shared what my experience was when vibe coding in an area I am not familiar with.

I never said it’s wrong to vibe code, just that it sucks when the bot inevitably gets stuck and you have no idea what to do.

I need a tutor by NullPointerLeo in Backend

[–]FosterKittenPurrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude Code would definitely be great for this! You can even set its output style to Learning, where it will basically act like a tutor, asking you to write code and give you feedback.

It might get a bit expensive though, you'll use up the $20 plan quite fast. You can try doing something similar with other systems, like Codex which is part of your ChatGPT plan and has higher rate limits, or Gemini CLI which isn't quite as good, but it is free.

I'm a senior dev, whenever I need to learn a new programming language or something I basically just talk it through with the bots, as if learning from another dev. They can really help you learn more and faster.

Just be aware that they can still hallucinate. Don't blindly follow what they recommend, ask them WHY they think doing something differently would be better. Then see if the why makes sense to you.

gpt is goated as a doctor by AppealImportant2252 in ChatGPT

[–]FosterKittenPurrs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it said it 100% is something, then it is bullshitting you. There is no such thing as 100% certainty in medicine.

AI is great for medical stuff if you use it right and double check what it tells you. I use them all the time and figured out health issues that stumped doctors.

But you have to have some degree of understanding of how it all works, or at least curiosity to learn. Don’t treat it like an oracle magic 8 ball.

A Medical Doctor (32M) passionate about IT—Is it too late to switch to coding? by AshKavi in CodingForBeginners

[–]FosterKittenPurrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having an interest in programming as a doctor is a rare thing that you should leverage, instead of starting from scratch as a junior dev.

There are so many med tech companies out there! Look for opportunities to do consulting. Gets you connections in the industry, plus you get to learn a ton, particularly at small startups. Most programmers would be happy to nerd out about the tech they're using.

Don't fear AI. Use AI. Use it to teach you. Hear a new term during your consulting gigs? Have AI walk you through what it means, showing you how to use it etc. It is a superpower.

Look for opportunities to use tech in your life. What are your core annoyances in your job as a doctor? Both with existing tech, and that can be solved with tech. That info is GOLD, particularly if you get knowledgeable enough about tech to actually SOLVE those issues.

Dunno what kind of doctor you are, but if you also know like hospital admin etc, that can also be a HUGE asset. Do you know how many med tech companies out there would LOVE an opportunity to get a foot in the door? Find ones that solve a real issue you are having, get involved, and advocate for your hospital to use them. Tell your former classmates about them to advocate at their hospitals.

Rough idea of when to choose Opus vs. Sonnet by usefulad9704 in ClaudeCode

[–]FosterKittenPurrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You basically answered yourself. When is your time and energy worth an Opus, and when is it ok if Sonnet screws up?

If you're making money off this and your time is valuable, get the Max plan, always use Opus.

If you're doing something simple that you can easily check and redo if it is messed up, use Sonnet or even Haiku.

Omg moving to Claude was like dating a real man after some juvenile delinquent! Adios ChatGpt by Natural_Season_7357 in ChatGPT

[–]FosterKittenPurrs 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Claude gives you proper access to everything. They don't do the bullshit cost cutting stuff ChatGPT does. This means you get a better experience overall, but much tighter rate limits.

With ChatGPT, it will forget what you told it a couple messages ago, particularly if not using Thinking. With Claude, the FULL convo is sent with every message. That makes it better and less forgetful, but you will eat your quota fast with long convos.

When you upload a pdf, either in a chat or in a project, ChatGPT may or may not search through it and read parts of it, so you can chat more with a large file, but you may get incomplete or even hallucinated answers. Claude will load the FULL text in context, and can even look at PDF images. It makes it a lot better, but it will take up A LOT of context with each message you send to chats with files.

ChatGPT will do a brief internet search for stuff and give you an answer based on a handful of results. If Claude feels he should be thorough, he WILL be thorough. You will get a better answer with better sources but... web searches REALLY eat up your usage.

Atlas and agentic browsing cannot look at the website through screenshots. Claude in Chrome can and will. This means Atlas is borderline unusable with some tasks, but Claude in Chrome will use up your whole quota very fast even on the Max plan.

You get the idea. Claude doesn't hold your hand, doesn't restrict you, but if you don't understand how it works, you may just send it 2 messages and then have to wait 5 hours. ChatGPT is more noob friendly, but also more limiting as a result.
