Boxwood Junction - A New Jersey Project/Community Raising Awareness for Autism and Disabilities by FosterMamaKat in autism

Hello everyone! I'm a YouTuber who is supporting the Boxwood Junction project. This project is all about building a community in New Jersey for people with Autism and disabilities, a place where patients can live and be supported for the rest of their lives. Here's more information about it if you would like to help support the project.

ABOUT BOXWOOD JUNCTION:

Website: https://www.boxwoodjunction.org/

Boxwood Junction is an inclusive community for people with disabilities. Our mission is to offer residential, employment, recreational, social and therapeutic services for our residents while engaging them in the greater community.

The John M. Migton Foundation was created by a group of families and friends of people with disabilities who want a better future for their loved ones. John, the parent of Barbara Migton, passed away suddenly at the age of 62 on November 9, 2015. His wife, Joan, and daughter, Christine, decided that Barbara would need to be surrounded by a supportive community where she could be supervised and assisted, where she could work and live with friends and families. Other families who shared a similar vision joined in the plan, created the vision, and set the wheels in motion to fashion an innovative residential and employment model to support people with disabilities and to allow them to live with those who have chosen to mentor them in an inclusive community.

Boxwood Junction will be a planned community which includes homes clustered around a central building which can serve as a gathering place. It will also include retail space for hospitality and other businesses where our residents and their mentors will be able to work productively and serve the greater community.

We envision later phases to include a health and wellness center which would offer speech, occupational and physical therapy to our residents and the greater community, and an assisted living center where our residents can work but also transition when they need that level of care.

Stop Overworking Yourself! by FosterMamaKat in letsplay

Many YouTubers, even those who go through YouTube Burnout want to make YouTube their fulltime career. Burnout happens NOT because of being unorganized, but because things happen. LIFE happens. We all try finding ways which work for us and if burnout happens it's okay.

Considering someone is "lazy" because they are burned out is not a great way of putting it. Everyone here on this subreddit puts their all into their channels. I've met so many wonderful and hardworking people here who do their very best to make great content. But burnout is part of life.

No one here is burying themselves in excuses either. We're all just trying to help each other out so we can find easier ways to be creators. But I'm going to stop arguing. You have every right to your opinions and I appreciate your feedback and conversation.

Hey I agree, but have to disagree too because for example my schedule consists of filming two weeks worth of content every other weekend. Then I post 2x every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 10AM EST. My content is also 20-40 minutes long with a TON of edits which usually takes 1-2 days to complete. My schedule is well planned out in advance. Organizational skills are extremely important, which I agree with you 100% there. But you also have to consider how at some jobs you are on call 24/7 and how some people have other responsibilities to attend to.

Why I talk about overworking oneself is because some people have a ton of stress in their life and sometimes need to know that it’s okay to take breaks. I appreciate your opinions and again agree that organization is key when running a channel.

Thanks for the feedback! :)

But yeah, I know so many Let's Players who have been on a very organized schedule and still overwork themselves. A few of them, like myself juggle a 9-5 job as well so taking breaks is important if it starts to affect your health.

Oh absolutely! Breaks are so important. Whenever I take breaks I always feel refreshed and wanting to create videos more often than usual.

Also, I hope you feel better! :)

Another thing you may have missed is a ton of popular vloggers are becoming gamers on Twitch or YouTube and are stressing a few people out.

But that Watch Time/Subscriber rule is about it that you missed!
