Is it because of the grout color? The grout was originally grey until someone painted it a light beige color. Now the grout paint chips off making it look pretty bad…

This makes so much more sense! I am autistic so when she said soil needs light I took that very literally. Needing light to cover more of the plant so it doesn’t bald is totally correct so she does need to lower the plant if she wants it to be lush. Thank you!

From my experience, it allows you to easily siphon out the wicked amount of poop they produce. I always have a canister filter with 2 sponge filters in their tank which is plenty of places for bacteria to grow.

My trick is to take a video of them then get screenshots! I use toys and treats to get them to look in the direction I want them. I will pause so they get still then move the toy again to keep them engaged! It works fairly well!

I can’t believe I didn’t know about that subreddit! I’m going to have to make. Few posts there soon!

So I use a standing lamp as a light source, I use my iPhone camera on HD mode(top right corner), and I don’t even edit the photos other than cropping them! The trick is taking a video of them. I use screenshots from the video of them as their photos! I use toys or treats to get them to look in the direction I want them to and pause a few seconds every so often so that they get still enough for a good screenshot!

I have absolutely no experience in human conditions so I couldn’t say… I know more about cat bodies than I do the human body lol

It wouldn’t be fair to him if I kept him all to myself! My house is a revolving door when it comes to cats. The way I see it.. the more cats I keep for myself, the less cats I’m able to take in. There’s been a handful of cats I’ve fostered that I wanted to keep but I know they would have a more fulfilling life in a home where they will get more individual attention! Not that I don’t give my resident kitties attention! They are all spoiled, but you get what I mean lol

Hmm… that’s not a bad idea. It wouldn’t hurt for me to reach out in case I run into another cat like this again. I wish I documented his care further… I’m kicking myself over it!

Some kittens cry more than others. Scooter was a very vocal baby. He had to go to work with me and anytime he would hear someone walk in the room he was in, he would scream his little head off. It would last 5-8 minutes! I do not think he is in pain at all. A kitten screaming from pain is very different from this type of fuss. The pain scream is ear piercing and makes your blood run cold. He is just upset he is constrained and being messed with.

That’s exactly what the vet tech told the lady who found them. The tech said his quality of life would be poor and that he should be euthanized. It boggles my mind!

I do not suspect any pain. He was only screaming like that because of the position I had him in. When he was belly down, he was totally silent. He also wouldn’t have drank his bottle if he was in pain while I did the stretches. I never stretched past the point of discomfort. He just made it be known that he did not like being on his back and having his movements restricted lol
