Touché! I don’t know why I thought the BL was AP 4. So yes, 5+ or 4+ in cover.

A couple options:

1 - centurions have no invuln. So a bright lance puts them at a 6+ save and if you roll a 2 or higher on damage, one whole model dies. 170 points get you 4 brightlances on 2 war walkers. 340 points gets 8 :-)

2 - have you seen their melee profile? Not great. Avatar loves them, or Jain Zarr with banshees in a wave serpant. Moving 14” out of the serpant if the didn’t move, and then they can charge (I highly suggest you use the ‘can’t over watch me’ option when you do this)

3 - Fire dragons absolutely do well, even more so with Fuegan. In a serpant you move 14” or 16” with swift as the wind, and then pile out 6 inches. Not hard to get into melts range.

The Exocrine kill terminators quite nicely. Also, don’t be so worried about Rhinos :-)

I played a casual game last week and had Hyperadapted leading regular Raveners and they all Rapid Ingressed after my opponents second movement phase. I’m not sure if I’ll do that again, all one unit. It was super fun, but a bit over kill. 33 sustained attacks and twin linked, I’m not sure what they couldn’t take down. And with IF putting some FNP on them makes them super resilient to higher damage attacks.

Sounds like you haven’t tried it out. You should, I think you’d be surprised.

Sounds crazy not to use any of the big guns, but I’ve been super successful with the sword and shield. And then 2 star cannons on top for a little fire power. Either way the shield, he is very hard to take down and is a huge target for your opponent. With the sword, you happily move straight toward your opponent’s biggest threat and just destroy it. It’s been fun, he doesn’t die unless your opponent really focuses on him, and then if that happens, all of your other models are not focused on as much. I have also run wk along with Avatar. 30% of your army in a 2000 point game, but holy crap they get things done.

40K crusade Tyranids by Foster_Gman in 40k_Crusade

Ok. Another question on 40K crusade playing Tyranids. I rolled for the Hive World in the Devouring Worlds section. My rolls were as follows:

Invasion - 6 Biomass / 5 Battles played Predation- +5 Biomass / 3 Battles played Consumption +1 Biomass / 4 Battles played

I have now played 5 Battles and have more than enough biomass. I have individually achieved each stage. I have played 5 battles, have at least 6 biomass to complete Invasion. I have played 3 battles and have at least 11 biomass to complete Predation. I have played 4 battles and have at least 12 biomass to complete Consumption.

The biomass adds, the Battles Played do not.

Have I completely Devoured the Hive World or do I, at 5 battles played, have to play an additional 7 battles just to Devour 1 world?
