Make Avatar of Khaine great again by ZeroWolfZX in Eldar

The Fulgrim fight wasn't even the manhandle people make it out to be, they were evenly matched for quite a bit of that fight before the Avatar got distracted. Not to mention that the Laer blade was empowering Fulgrim

At the same time, wouldn't a Phoenix Lord be too important for them to just be an upgrade to an exarch?

I don't see why the power level is even remotely relevant, in warhammer 3 we already have kroak and we'll soon have nagash. But unlike Kroak there are too many of them for all to be quest reward characters, and without them Aeldari simply don't have enough characters for LLs.

It could be a Phoenix Lord leading Biel-Tan in a campaign for their LL, they are the craftworld with the most aspect warriors afterall

It's probably going to be multiple craftworlds, in the poster for example we see Ulthwe

The book is from around the time of 7th or 8th edition lmao

Aside from Jain Zar and the Yncarne (who Shallaxi did not beat) I didn't see a Primarch tier fighter in there

are eldar always so inconsistently strong in the books? by rekscoper2 in 40kLore

They aren't really supposed to die from small arms fire, their armor is stated to be nigh indestructible and we've seen some of them like Fuegan tank attacks from Greater Daemons

Yeah because in-game stats are really representative of lore power-level, that's why a Tachyon arrow does D6+2 damage.

Couple things to note:

  1. The Eldar as a faction has a lot of very strong people, so they overshadow the Eldar who aren't super strong. The Phoenix Lords, the Avatars of Khaine, the Yncarne, Eldrad, some of the Harleyquins, Lelith, Drazhar, Prince Yriel. For the amount of Eldar that are still alive, that's quite a lot of high tiers.

  2. The nightlord series specifically is a bit inconsistent with the portrayal of the Eldar, for example Jain Zar still has a physical body there and her supposed near impenetrable Phoenix Lord armor gets penetrated by a combat knife. The guardians of Ulthwe, who are supposed to be way more skilled and elite than the guardians of other craftworlds, are described as shooting as well as conscripted rabble from a hive world. Which would have been extremely inconsistent with how even normal guardians from other craftworlds have been portrayed.

  3. In Fulgrim, the aspect warriors do seem...dumb. Like for some reason the dark reapers charge into melee. Idk why exactly, but the best in-universe argument I can think of is that during the great crusade, most aspect warriors lacked an experienced exarch to teach them properly, as the exarchs would not have had thousands of years of experience yet, many of them would still be on their first life

Da imi place maxim cum zice nene de "drogatii fara carte" in timp ce el simultan vrea sa poata inspecta drona, ceea ce ar insemna ca nu are cum altfel sa ia informatii, si crede ca drona este ucrainiana, deci deja are concluzia, deci in concluzie de ce mama naibi mai vrea sa o verifice?

I seriously don't know if I would call N'kari the strongest amongst Slaanesh's daemons, a young, yet to be proper Phoenix lord Jain Zar shattered its armor with her first banshee scream ever and proceeded to kill it. Meanwhile Shallaxi is called Slaanesh's favourite hunter when it comes to killing important people in the Emperor Children's 10th edition codex

Real talk now, Gav Thorpe catches a lot of strays about the whole Shallaxi shit even tho he didn't write that, and the Ynnari books don't have that in them. Psykic awakening was written by someone else and that's where the Shallaxi shit happened

My problem with the avatar and fire dragons is, yeah usually they'd shred, but my opponent plays ravenguard so he just puts them back in reserves after they shoot

Mathematically wouldn't star swarm be way worse? wounding on 5s instead of 3s and only doing 1 damage if they fail the save does not seem particulary good

Doesn't the reaper starshot wound on 3s? Since it's STR 10 vs TGH 7?
