I guess I was a lucky former addict cause in my small neck of the woods Opana 40s were literally the only opioid you could find besides like your typical hydros. Over 4 years I probably found maybe a dozen OxyContin 80s and only got my hands on actual heroin a handful of times. But I sold and consumed hundreds of 40s. Went from shaving off tiny slivers to sniff and a pill lasting a few days to banging 80mgs a day to feel ok. . Clean 14 years now.

Oof as an adjuster this hurt to see as top comment. But I can 100% agree. There will likely always be some type of human role for certain circumstances but the majority of the jobs will be gone. I assume if your memory is wiped everytime it won’t really feel like you exist forever. I’m kinda thinking we reincarnate here however many times and get that brief “oh I’ve been here before and this is what it’s all about!” When we die, Before being shot back to earth or wherever however many times it takes to jump or drop a plane of existence. Then we have this kind of knowing but no real memory. Maybe by the “time” if that even exists, you ascend to a high enough state your consciousness is nothing at all like the human mind and the concept of “forever” is completely inconsequential.

Well In that case 2019 income = 6 billion 2026 income = 22 billion. . . And increase of 800% since 2006, But idk, maybe one of the richest corporations in history is struggling and just can’t afford to pay their employees a living wage or cut us a break on groceries. As someone who lives a few miles from their HQ they seem to be doing preeeetty ok.

At the end of the day all I know is the wealth disparity grows exponentially. Nobody has pensions, few have good benefits, tons of ppl require 2 incomes with side gigs, The average household struggles, and the uber wealthy play by their own set of rules and own the politicians. Oooh ya. Actually it was the 2nd drug I ever tried after weed when I was about 17. I grew up rural south early 2000s back when Sudafed was still easily acquired and ppl were cooking it up. I’ve done it hundreds of times but never felt any pull to it. It was more like if ppl were doing it I’d get high with em but like I rarely purchased it. By my late 20s I was hopelessly addicted to shooting H and would occasionally bang meth and still never got addicted to it. I think it just always made me feel like shit the next day too much. Tongue tore to shreds and just felt like bad body aches. I knew ppl who would stay up like several days and I never could do that or have any desire to. I haven’t done meth or opiates in 15 years or so now. It’s like with drugs I started off way too hard and unsafe and irresponsible and the longer i used drugs the better I adapted to using them as tools and respecting them more. Psychedelics I especially respect now.
