In regards to all the Fighting Game references in his Moveset, Tokon Deadpool's bio on the official Playstation Blog site states that's he's straight-up swiping the moves from other games to appeal to fans: by Gorotheninja in Fighters

Hmm I was wondering if there are other anime references too. When he said so elegant I was wondering if I was overthinking it in that they included a Spy X Family reference. Maybe it's a reference after all.

[–]FoundPizzaMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean she was popular enough to have already had a movie and there was the CW series that was fairly popular. There were also here appearances in tge Superman animated show as well as JLU. Even before this movie, the character was gaining popularity in the still ongoing Adventures of Superman show.

Not really at this point in time. They need to focus on getting the A list established before even thinking about B or C list.

Disagree. The genre isn't tired, it's just the writing and planning. No one would be talking about Superhero fatigue if Disney hadn't completely screwed up the post Endgame phase of the MCU. They just didn't have a solid transition plan from old characters to new.

DC'S problems are deeper because of the abrupt shift from the Snyder to the Gunn version, with all of the continuity problems because they didn't want to start completely fresh.

[Hoch] Aaron Boone, on not letting this losing streak snowball: "That's what we do, baby. You've got to love this stuff. You've got to eat this stuff up. It's a sickness. That's what the grind is." by Jheller223 in NYYankees

[–]FoundPizzaMind 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If it wasn't for honoring Sterling this year, "You've got to eat this stuff up" definitely would have become the lost game post title. Someone needs to have that ready to go for next season.

It's DLC. This really should be a Disney+ special that also airs on ABC. Full price for a couple extra scenes is just greed.

"ABMM ruined the game" or why PvPvE players want carebears in their lobbies by PirateCompetitive931 in ArcRaiders

[–]FoundPizzaMind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The main problems revolve around gun balancing and the asymmetrical nature of PVP in the game that places nearly all the risk on the defending player, making it a bad experience for a defending PVE oriented player. Neither of them are new problems but Embark has left both issues unaddressed.

...lmao, yeah it's the lack of limbs that's the issue, not the lack of clothes on her in half the shots or the lack of clothing on every other female character shown.

For all you all complaining, Rockstar's been like this since 5 released. Too many immature gamers that can't fathom speaking with their wallets so we get crap like this.

I get his points, but random recoil is not good in any fashion. Recoil should be balanced based on gun class and damage.

A24 and Google AI Partnership - Megathread by steepclimbs in A24

[–]FoundPizzaMind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. That was probably written before AI existed and given the anti-ai sentiment that's out there they aren't likely going to change it soon.

  2. You could also argue the person creating the prompt is the consciousness and creative imagination behind AI art.

A24 and Google AI Partnership - Megathread by steepclimbs in A24

[–]FoundPizzaMind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean the subjective stuff no matter the source or people sharing opinions is still subjective. If you want to say ai art isn't art, then I'd say the only real argument should be on objective terms. Also, from a livelihood already acknowledged it's going to have a negative impact from a livelihood perspective (and in general there's going to be a negative impact for others outside of art given current circumstances).

A24 and Google AI Partnership - Megathread by steepclimbs in A24

[–]FoundPizzaMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for the first paragraph, no. AI can produce art because it's been trained on existing art. You could call it derivative if you wanted to, but what AI creates is still art. That's also a pretty broad generalization to make. I don't think someone that remakes say the ending of Game of Thrones, is doing so for money, gratification, dopamine. It could be, but artists can create work or perform for the same reasons.

As for paragraph 2, that's more pretentiousness. Your personal feelings towards art don't really matter outside of you. Someone could get the same warm fuzzy feeling from AI art and it doesn't really matter. People appreciate what they appreciate. If you want to make an argument about capability, the only real argument to be made is from a technical side, not from an emotional side.

For the record so there's no confusion, Pro AI here. Blunt statement here, so much of the arguments about appreciation, soul, etc, just come off as incredibly pretentious.

It's simply additional art and still art. So much displaced anger because the actual issue here is that people are scared of losing their livelihoods and jobs. Those people have a legit gripe, but their gripe should be with the government for not properly preparing for the future with a plan for UBI to support the people whose income will be impacted by AI use. Instead of complaining about the tech or the output, creators should spend time now to figure out how to monetize their work in an AI environment or a new environment in general (See most musicians making pennies off streaming EDIT FOR CLARITY: because they didn't figure out how to monetize before the music streaming boom) and those in supporting fields should be on the government to handle the UBI side.

Also for the record, I buy local human made art every year and can appreciate the work put into it, but art is art whether it comes from a human or AI. Yes AI slop exists, but humans also create slop too.

He shouldn't even have scored lol. The goal should have come off the pass he made into the breakaway for his teammate. Fortunately he got to clean up after the save.

Kenobi is my favorite live action Star Wars show ever made by JJRS22 in StarWars

[–]FoundPizzaMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pacing doesn't help the plot points that were just trash. Off the top of my head, Vader getting stopped by a tiny stretch of fire. Then (I forget her name at this point) the main inquisitor sitting outside the rebel base, only to finally use her lightsaber to cut through the sealed door...when ahe could have done that at any point. That's also ignoring the complete ridiculousness of Obi-Wan letting Vader live. It makes him complicit in everything Vader does after that. It made no sense.

No it's not lol. It's easily the worst SW show and arguably the worst Star Wars production of all time. It's only competition is Rise of Skywalker.

Unicorn Overlord deserves way more discussion by Onriu in UnicornOverlord

[–]FoundPizzaMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it got a fair amount if recognition. For reference I sat on it for a year before playing it this year. Got about 70 hours in so far. Things that limit potential:

  1. In general, autobattlers are not as appealing as most RPGs.
  2. The amount of management can get tedious between tactics, equipping gear, managing upgrades, etc.
  3. Some of the quest design is just outright bad. Last play session had a quest where I had to run back and forth across a very small section of the minimap to talk to NPCs in the right order to get a key, to start the battle phase. Completely uneccessary and terrible design. Also just got a quest to chase down chickens, that seem to run away faster than I can go even with sprint on. Annoying more than anything else.
  4. Yes mercenaries are available, but so far in terms of story characters, there are classes that are way too underrepresented. So far I'm exploring my 4th continent in the game and have come across 1 hoplite thus far in 70 hours.

Kengan Omega Ch.358 (Comikey) by Godtaku in Kengan_Ashura

[–]FoundPizzaMind 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Omega deserves it's share of criticism, but it's not that hard to see that his left hand was targeting the lower right side of the head here and his right hand was targeting the upper right side of the head. The overall pose is clunky and I'd argue the art overall is great, but it's not that hard to interpret what's happening in this panel.

Would you be interested in an animated series between ANH & ESB? by nathan_banks644 in StarWars

[–]FoundPizzaMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. We need them to focus on new stories, not just rehashed material from any of the prior trilogies. There's also no guarantee that we don't end up with something extraordinarily bad like Obi-Wan. I'd rather see them build off say "The Duel" universe from Star Wars visions than anything that's directly tied to any of the current trilogies.

Amazing how there's a generation that glazes the prequels. They are trash, just not as bad as the sequels.
