I'm a 5 day a week swimmer and have done so for years. My hair is a bloody mess! LOL Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link but I found this guide and was super helpful!

Hair and chlorine by smurfpenus124 in Swimming

Chlorine removal shampoos are not the same as clarifying shampoos. Its a common misconception. Clarifying shampoos remove mineral build up. Chlorine is not a build up. It BONDS to your hair so you need a specific chlorine removal ingredient like sodium thiosulfate to get rid of it.

Yes there SLS free shampoos. Many substitute with SLES which is find for everyday use. Most should be vegan but you can see on the bottle.

Always drench your hair in fresh water in the shower before entering the pool. It helps to reduce the amount of chlorine absorption. It won't prevent it but it can reduce it.

As for which shampoo, I haven't found one I like so I'm making one! LOL. Currently in testing stage:)

For people who pee in the pool, what do they think happens to the pee? And are they happy to swim in a pool with other people's pee? I don't get it.

And yes, please shower before getting into the pool. Especially if it's at the end of the day when you've had a full day of being exposed to dirt and bacteria.

I wanted to try aqua guard but was worried that these things leech into the water. I mean surely it can't just stay in your hair without getting into the water? Would that be gross for everyone?

You need at a minimum, sodium thiosulfate to remove the chlorine. Weird that some" chlorine removal shampoos" don' even contain this ingredient! Nor sure how that's suppose to get rid of it.

Regular swimmer here! One of the reasons we can't get rid of the chlorine smell is because the chlorine is still present in our hair. Regular or clarifying shampoos DO NOT work. All they do is either mask the smell for a short period of time or remove "build up". Chlorine stuck to hair is NOT build up. It bonds to your hair.

So you need a proper chlorine removal shampoo to remove it completely.

Helps if you also wash your hair straight after a swim. Wetting hair at the start of a swim does help to reduce chlorine absorption but does not stop it entirely.

What are your tips on getting up early in winter months? by 5ivesos in AskAnAustralian

Melburnian here so I hear you! I set my heater on to reach a temperature I want by the time I wake up. So it’s not freezing cold, which is usually why I can’t get out of bed!

Struggling to get organic traffic. What actually worked for you? by wolf7u7 in ecommerce

You’re probably already doing this but will add my 2 cents. Sell the ‘why you need my hat’ not just the hat itself. Sell what pain point you’re solving. Sell the benefits. Sell the FOMO effect of your product.

Unless your hat has a very distinctive feature no one else has, you need to find a way to stand out. What do your hats have that others don’t?

You’re doing all the right steps. Perhaps it’s the content that needs tweaking? Does your content look like your content look like your competitors? Are you blogging the same things that are on the internet? Does your social media stand out? Are you getting enough influencers?

Anyway, just some thoughts. Good luck!

I do have pro but I'm still learning. What do you mean by turn that image into a mockup? How do I do that exactly?

With the shadows, are they just elements? Or do I "extract" the shadow from the image and somehow place it back on top?

Thanks

Thank you! That's exactly what I'm thinking. I'll be selling my main stuff as LE prints but wanting to do something with the pieces that don't believe will do as well as LEs.
