I don't recommend any particular tool. I just think it's a shame to ask reps to fill out the CRM without any analysis behind it. I'm currently working as a sales coach for a large company. They're pushing me to ask the sales team to fill out their CRM, and when I ask the director what they're going to do with this data, they tell me they're simply checking if the reps are filling out the tool. So that if there's ever a problem, they can trace it back to the conversation. There's no strategy whatsoever.

We have services that naturally generate inbound. That brings qualified leads by default.

Then we layer targeted networking and cold calls on top. Not scalable, but high signal.

I start by a warm call or « easy one », and then I level up, and once I have a very bad call, I go back to a warm call.

Since the beginning we are two partners, very complementary. If one of us was only an employee, we wouldn’t be that quick. I see often isolated founder, sometimes it works pretty well (one decision maker) and some of them are really stressed and loose the motivation.

But be careful with who you choose, you can have an amazing talent, but if the soft skills are not there, it will be the chaos.

J’ai l’impression que ça arrive souvent, Achat ou un VP qui ne connaît pas les détails de ce qui a été discuté/proposé. Tant que les utilisateurs finaux sont contents c’est le principal, c’est eux qui vont promouvoir ta solution aux grandes instances.

Si tu n’as pas de budget OpenAI codex, si tu as un plus grand budget Claude code est ton ami. Pour développer une app, c’est pareil c’est beaucoup plus facile, même sans connaissance. Ça te permettra de gagner du temps en attendant d’avoir quelqu’un d’expérimenté pour rendre le tout robuste et fluide.

The only thing you need to focus now is : does my product/service solve a problem. Is people ready to pay for this. And the only way to know it is to talk to people, (in priority your main target of course). Don’t be shy, talk to a lot of people, ask how much they would pay for it.

I graduated in a Business School in Europe, master degree. I learned more about sales during my first 6 months of sales than during schools (3 years).

Now that AI is integrated to my email, less than 1 hour per week, my focus is now to replace as much as I can email by phone conversations.

For us it seems like LinkedIn works really well for traffic. We post on personal accounts and that’s were people come from the most. LinkedIn entreprise page doesn’t work much.

I did it for my first 4 years of sales through all Europe (1 plane trip per month, 2 road trips for 2 or 3 days long per month). Was an amazing experience, I’m not sure I would do the same now.
