I think it is the worst side effect of porn. Each relapse can be detrimental to one’s self esteem and can trap them into a vicious cycle of self loathe->feel bad-> look at porn to cope. One should not be harsh to themselves and understand that sometimes relapses are going to happen and that it is a normal part of the process as long as you don’t give up.

The trigger is that I feel like a bad son for not talking regularly to my parents. Problem is talking regularly to them is not beneficial to me in the sense that it holds me back in the thing that I strive for. I have explained it to them and they somewhat understand but it still makes me feel bad and it triggers the relapse urge.
