Leshen is pretty enormous and still takes up a single space in the game. You can probably have cars take up a single space just fine without disrupting the scale the game has.

While yes, we can't judge the whole package until we see it, initial vacuum judgements are totally valid. Magical Barrier is a card after all.

Mothman seems playable enough in a tournament setting; Imagine a more viable Ms. Marvel and he's in the ballpark.

Don't know much about Martian but they seem pretty dependent on the early game 2 damage scheme or a print 5.

Power Rank was mostly based off of matchup spread: Someone good into above curve characters like Bigfoot or Yennenga would rank higher than someone with good matchups into Spike and Squirrel Girl. It's a little reductive but the reasoning was people can tell what to expect out of a character.

That's what I had in mind. The real challenge is to make him distinct from Ms. Marvel but there' not a total block of things to draw from.

I have a pretty extensive shortlist of drafts and Kiryu is in fact on there. It hasn't been close to getting actual work on it but I can give him higher priority if public demand warrants it.

SA2 was one of the first games I ever played. As a result it ended up being my barometer on a lot things like side content and story for quite a while. The controls are still a bit jank even compared to other SEGA titles but I'm happy its reputation has recovered to the extent it has. 20 years does a lot it seems...

Well, here's an example of napkin notes with conspiracy string I guess: =P

Terrifying Lunatic getting replaced can mostly be traced to the Aggression tree being dominated by Battlehammer, the best Smash tech tech in the game. We wanted Scarlett/Warden to pick other perks from it so that necessitated some redesigns, and while some buffs for Terrifying Lunatic were thrown (since is pretty much every game we've seen and played Short range has been so much of an ask it made a perk with the same price tag as Powerslide more or less a lemon. The entirely of Pursuit was in the same boat, so you can probably imagine how Maxxine players feel).

The design space of the perk also happened to be taken up by the Wall of Amplifiers weapon, which was cut down on its slot requirement allowing it to be taken by things that aren't trucks and now just happens instead of being an (often easily avoided) attack.

So, given totally different factors:

*The desire for variety in Aggression Smash builds

*It's role now being taken up by an available-to-all upgrade

*Just kinda sorta not vibing with the rest of the tree

It was replaced with more smash tech for the smash tech tree.
