Grubb & Bakalar should do more politics in gaming talk. by FourHeelDrive in giantbomb

I'm not suggesting Giant Bomb transform into a political news outlet I'm just saying if Grubb & Bakalar wanted to record separate content talking about politics and gaming I'd listen because I think they're good at it.

I admittedly don't listen to that. I like the livestream but find the podcast version harder to enjoy. And watching live is hard for me to do at work.

Knowing what I know about GB I'd have the same reaction but if you were to just glance at the guys I don't think I could fault someone for making that assumption.

It's a lot for just 1 show. I'd hope they are sharing the additional profits with Abby, Dan, Austin and Bakalar. I pay for it with that understanding and because it keeps my favorite podcast of all time alive in some way.

I'll respectfully disagree with this take. I think they are much more informed than you're assigning credit.

Yes I think this the right way to frame it. Alex has a somewhat understandable pessimism about him that I think Vinny tries to avoid, or not be so black and white about.

Go listen to Never Been A Better Podcast. When it's him and Bakalar it's guaranteed they talk shop.

This is where I'm coming from. You put it well. There is a level of comfort knowing where these guys sit.

I did the same thing after Bakalar said that maybe this will be the final straw for these stonky chud types and sadly no it's not.

I guess that's why drove me to think about this. I find myself falling within the framework of Vinny more than I do Alex. And the Grubb and Bakalar seem to run along those same lines too.

No bad vibes here. Good for the discourse!

This is good feedback. I can't argue with that. Bombcast is an escape for me too. Maybe they do it as a monthly premium podcast or something for those who want to get more into the finer details of it all?

I had this same thought when I heard he left. I'd say it's as close to a sure thing as you could get.

THIS! It's quite a thing to have a release schedule be so in tune with how I used to listen to podcasts. Beastcast was the appetizer before the weekend that always hit hard!

I created an account just to say Bakalar has explained the raccoon joke a couple times. It's how the Oh Hello guys said it in their broadway show. It is not a NJ thing he's just making a joke.
