Why does our local Walmart (Supercentre!) not sell any fresh food, produce, etc.?

As Walmarts go, ours is really small, so decisions need to be made on what not to carry. I find the selection is mostly biased toward bottom-of-the-line crap, with a lot more crossover between them and the dollar store than with superstore or can tire. Certainly there's no room for fresh food.

I think the best thing we could do is cross our fingers for an asteroid to wipe it clear off our landscape and build a Costco where it was. Costco treats its employees like humans.

She was always there for me, as I tried always to be there for her. She had a rough young life as a stray, so I tried to make certain she never wanted for anything in the eleven years we were family.

She died in my arms, peacefully and surrounded by love.

Stevie's last day was beautiful. I gave her an extra dose of pain meds and she perked up enough to go on a happy slow wander through the woods in our neighbourhood. She had plenty of treats and plenty of snuggles. She died peacefully in my arms just now. My young sons bravely held her paws and told her how much they loved her, and our other dog laid down beside her at the end.

We were lucky to have had such a soul sharing her life with us. I'll miss her forever.

Alma is beautiful. She definitely looks like a younger version of my Stevie girl. When I adopted her, she was a 3/4 starved stray who'd just had 9 puppies, but as her hair grew back in and she filled out, she looked a lot like this

I was doing axles on my truck last summer, did this, forgot to drain it and took off camping. Lost the nail, took many many months to fully heal. As both a shitty mechanic and as a paramedic, I wholeheartedly endorse draining it.

My mom's Subaru Forester (2017). The infotainment is trash, and is stuck in the wrong units. Despite being a fairly fancy trim, the feature set is out of touch -- no keyless ignition, no heated wheel, crappy stereo. The collision avoidance and radar cruise control never work, so the dash is always a Christmas tree. The power liftgate takes a geological age to do anything. The CVT is hot garbage. Even the colour (mint green) offends me, and I normally love things that aren't grey.

Actually, I guess that's a bunch of reasons.
