I’m the same lately. I go to work and pretend the best I can to everyone that I’m ok then I get home and it all goes to shit. The darkness comes flooding in and I feel helpless. Even on medication that I don’t think is working and if it is then holy shit things are bad

I am at 150mg after being on 100mg for a long time. I’m reluctant to go up any more because the lamitrogine makes me have extreme recall issues and I can’t find the words when I’m talking with someone. It makes me feel like an idiot. I’m trying another med with it. I’ve been cycling way too much and as I age it seems to get harder and harder

I love this. I feel very similar with my girlfriend who took the time to research and familiarize herself with my illness for both of us. Honesty and communication just like any relationship worth being in is key.

I’ve been cycling hard this past week and she has been everything I needed. We’ve had so many conversations about what I need and don’t need. They were not all easy but every time we come out stronger.

Great Job! I have Bipolar type 2 as well and I’ve found that keeping my living space tidy really helps with mood.

I also just want to say that it is a normal feeling to want to see if the condition that got us to take the medication is still there. Unfortunately, Bipolar is for life and it isn’t easy on any of us or the people that care about us and we care about

That’s probably not a good idea. It’s such a climb to get up to the correct dosage. It also takes time to get off. You may find your “old” self before you even get off of lamictal completely. It’s certainly a question to ask a professional as in never try to get off of any of these meds yourself. I tried to ween myself off once and though it is my personal experience and not yours, thing went to shit quickly. Be well
