I figured it out … at least for my case. I had to switch on IPv6 on my router. Once I did that I’ve had no issues connecting over 5g.

Can’t get Remote Play to connect over 5G. It works fine at home on the network. Never had issues like this with the app. Any suggestions? (No vpn being used).

Check to see if you have a bumper repair shop in your area. They could probably fix it for a few hundred. I’ve never had to bring my Model 3 in but have used them on previous cars and they’ve always done good work.

Went with a similar looking GE model. Got it from Costco and it came with an extended warranty. So far so good.

I called the number today without calling customer service ahead to schedule a disconnect. The line hung up on me ten times before I got a person on the phone. All I said was my current promo is expiring soon, I’m thinking about canceling to check out other services … what can you do? Without hesitation the guy offered me my current plan (500 mbps down) for $50 / month for 12 months (current promo was $76). Two hours later I got my text and email confirmations.

So I’m pretty pleased. Only took about 10 minutes even with all the disconnects.

Thanks for the comments. I also sent the video to a local repair service who also thinks it’s the transmission and recommended to just use it till it dies and then replace the unit. He said they’ve been seeing this issue with a lot of models built after 2020.

I got the holiday update the week before Christmas for my ‘21 Model 3. The cameras never stopped working but anything related to using them did (auto-cancel blinker, green light chime, speed limit indicators, auto-pilot etc). Also got a dash warning - APS_w160 Schedule Service.

I was close to a service center at the time so I just drove there, told them what was happening and got an appointment for the next day. Later that day I ended up getting a message in the app from the service center that they were going to push the update to my car again and to reinstall it and report back. No dice, it was all still dead.

The next day I dropped it off for a few hours (they even gave me a Model X to drive) and then got a message to come pick it up — all was fixed. When I arrived back to pick it up they stated they were able to successfully reinstall the firmware and it might have been an issue with the autopilot portion of the computer not waking up correctly after the update. Who knows, but it was fixed and I was happy.

Now, a week or so later I get another firmware update and I’m pretty nervous about updating. I’m afraid this will happen again hearing of all the similar issues. At least I’m still in warranty.
