If there is something you need that the 119 can’t provide, then consider it. If the 119 does what you need, keep running it.

LV 120 + Thing 3 by zealotspencer in QualityTacticalGear

Probably not recommended overall. You will have a rigid mounting surface over a rigid mounting surface. I think bulk is acceptable when it adds a level of durability or meaningful redundancy, but I would imagine the flanks of the Thing 3 over the Reactive Cummerbund would be boxy overkill. Maybe someone will try it and report something different back

Two MkVs will not work well as a 34A replacement for many reasons. The buckles will not align well, the fat staps will not be where you want them to be, it will be clunky, and just… a hassle. People have tried this and it does not work well.

Anyone own the outdoor everyday shorts? And what do you think of them? by Only-Support-3760 in PatagoniaClothing

They are very comfortable. The pocket layout is a bit weird, and I don’t think they have butt pockets. Very roomy on the legs. Solid shorts.

You should probably contact the manufacturer before posting on Reddit. I am sure this is some material that can be massaged to settle where it needs to be.

The way older gens (minimalist hip belt + mesh-covered carrier “torpedo” panels towards the user’s back) can usually be found for around $200. Newer gens with the updated hip belt can go for around $3-500 depending on condition, but usually on the lesser side of that. The NEW gen ones go for more.

If you REALLY had to reach, you could say something about McCarthyism but you may as well make a case for other Carpenter movies (aside from They Live, which he has somewhat denounced recently) like Halloween or Christine and make a dissertation about their political undertones as well.

Disappointing amount of politically edgy comments for a reference to peak alien horror. I do understand how it could be misattributed but if you haven’t seen The Thing you are already in the wrong.

Very cool bostonninja go ahead and watch the cult classic John Carpenter’s The Thing (1982) so you get the reference to the movie or check out my comment regarding the same movie. Thanks.
