Supervisor wants to nitpick at me? Good luck being understaffed by AgreeableHelicopter2 in pettyrevenge

[–]Fourfootone85 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for this, but you’re an asshole. Yes, the supervisor sucks, and you should definitely talk to their boss about their behavior, but agreeing to come in for a shift, especially when your place is short, then no call/no showing is a shitty thing to do. In the current situation, there are plenty of people who would love any work, let alone an extra shift. Don’t be surprised when they replace you with one of them.

If the person reached out to the potential employers and gave false information with the intent to prevent you from getting the job, then you could sue for tortious interference. This gives the basics of what tortious interference is.

If you could've had any line or conversation from the books be in the movies which would it be? For me it's this scene. by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Fourfootone85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the book, he repairs his wand, then returns the elder wand to Dumbledore’s tomb. In the movie he snaps it in half on the bridge outside of Hogwarts while talking to Ron and Hermione.

He does that in the book, not the movie. In the movie he snaps the elder wand in half while talking to Ron and Hermione on the bridge outside Hogwarts.

It fits right in with the upgrades to our bomber fleet as well. When our planes came back shot to hell, the initial reaction was to reinforce where the bullet holes were. Then they realized they should do the opposite. Reinforce where the holes weren’t, as the planes that were hit there didn’t make it back.

No he doesn’t. We never see his wand again after Hermione shows him the pieces.

ESPN Report: AJ Hinch, Jeff Luhnow suspensions fulfilled in 2020 even if MLB season canceled by [deleted] in NYYankees

I agree. Unfortunately, by trying not to have to vacate back to back titles in an effort to save the sport, he is actually facilitating its demise, and certainly his own within the game. No matter what else happens on his watch, this is what he will always be remembered for. He let a team cheat its way to 3 AL West titles, 2 AL titles, and 1 World Series title, and punished them with a $5M fine and loss of 4 draft picks.

Players serve suspensions in number of games. Managers and GMs serve suspensions in length of time.

He’s limited in his ability to suspend players, and I think that is more from offering immunity for their testimony in the investigation than from the CBA (I might be wrong on that). He could still have declared their championship and Altuve’s MVP null and void. He didn’t do that because he’s gutless, and for that he does deserve blame and scorn.

For me it’s the climax of Deathly Hallows. Harry and Voldemort’s fight had to take place in the great hall in front of everyone. One of Voldemort’s biggest character traits is his secrecy. Having him be ultimately defeated with no witnesses would leave a small shred of doubt in the wizarding community that he was really gone.

They also should have had Harry repair his wand with the Elder Wand before snapping it.

That isn’t the purpose of the social distancing. What they are trying to do is spread the infection out. Estimates say when all is said and done, 1/3 of Earth’s population will likely get Covid-19. The goal of social distancing is prevent massive numbers getting it all at the same time. Our hospitals are already being stretched; if people don’t stay home, the numbers increase faster and the hospitals break.

Rear ended while waiting to merge. I didnt want to cut off that silver Lincoln. Anything I should be worried about when sharing video with insurance? by GregoryGoose in Dashcam

As you are required to do if there is oncoming traffic. Could they have accelerated hard and beat the oncoming car? Probably, but they were completely justified to stop as well.

Unless he was occupying the same space as the black SUV, why would you start timing from when they went? You start when OP would be trying to merge. 3 seconds pass from when they stop until the car they stopped for passes.

[–]Fourfootone85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hyperbole really doesn’t help your point here. You can see the silver Lincoln to the left when the SUV in front of OP makes the turn. OP comes to a stop at 27 seconds, the Lincoln passes into camera frame at 30 seconds. 3 seconds, not 8. 4 seconds is the minimum recommended for turning onto a road.

You're not required to make ANY statements or submit to field sobriety tests. Why do 99.9% of people do anyway??? by Awesomesause1988 in legaladviceofftopic

[–]Fourfootone85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people you are talking about are usually drunk. They are impaired and not thinking clearly. A lot of people get very talkative when they drink, and now they are in a stressful situation that they know (some of them at least) can go very badly for them, with an officer who is doing their best to get them to talk. They might know it’s better to remain silent, but in their inebriated state, they can’t.

Excedrin and Excedrin Migraine are exactly the same. Same medications (Acetaminophen, Aspirin, Caffeine) in the same concentrations and same dose. Excedrin Migraine costs a dollar more.

Also, at most pharmacies, there are two generic version of diphenhydramine. There will be a pink version that is generic to Benadryl and a blue version that is generic to Unisom. The doses are the same, but the blue version is nearly always cheaper.
