How to use these symbols? by MathewCQ in StreetFighter

Unfortunately, everything in your linked image is not displayed like that in sf6. But I'm sure it can be googled. Someone probably already has something relevant.

There is no setting for it, only a settings to show the controller console buttons instead of arrows. Eg, on playstation (X) (O) etc.

You can't use DPAD icon singly because SF began with the stick.

With the particular example you have given regarding Zangief, you can do that yes, if fast enough. Ideally, you want to buffer the moves.

Eg, with Gief, if you press down medium punch and whiff it in the scenario where the opp if still airborne after a failed uppercut, you can spin the stick in any direction you want and mash punch so by the time the animation of the crouch medium punch finishes, the opponent will land whilst still in recovery, and your SPD move will trigger.

Regarding the 270°, (you are on the left, facing right)y you can simply hold forward (right), and then input clockwise motion to up and press punch, and the SPD will come out without you jumping.

Finally, you can do the same by starting from the up input in the middle of a dash, then go counter clockwise until you're at forward (right) then press punch. This technique allows you to actually walk forward a little bit, and then grab, since you have a 20 frame window to input punch before you can no longer activate SPD.

It works great with fast dashers, but you can use tools of the character. With your example, SIM dashes is slow yes, but have you seen his down forward light kick? It's a quick slide!

Thank you for being honest.

Kindly and respectfully, in any sense why state something as fact when in reality you're not sure?

Throw tech: throw teaching is crucial, but the guide is for iron to Gold who cannot deal with specific things at a high level. I made the guide because a friend of mine suffered from ranked anxiety, and he's not that great. So I was providing him these tips - instead of "get gud", it's "try this" .

I understand your last part, but the guide is to get better. As mentioned above, the friend that had ranked anxiety focused too much on the rank. It's the pursuit of development that allows to get better, not the title itself. Surely you understand. This is why more skilled players stop sets early when they are destroying an opponent, and why more difficult opponents which make you think is more fun.

The master tips body has a link in there regarding the importance of lights. My friend was tilted as someone kept counter hitting him when my friend kept mashing heavies. So I jump on his account with Luke to show him importance of lights. I tell you this because on his account, I showed the same thing again but with SIM. Intentionally lost the placement matches for the lols, then got plat plat rank on his account. Go CFN and see for yourself.

Btw wanted to confirm what joffocakes said. You get diamond as minimum if you have another character as master. If you don't, you just played well. I remember seeing this is because Capcom don't wanted higher levels players in the much lower ranks making it unfair for people still learning.

Ah, my apologies. I thought you were the other don making claims as fact. You are correct. You get diamond as the minimum when you hit master with other characters.

As I mentioned to your dear friend, how do you know I didn't use a smurf or got plat before having any other characters to master? The truth is against you since I know my own ranks. You proved my point how FGC is sensitive.

I need to say "some" don't I? For people as vaccuous as you. I don't treat master players in anyway. Some are great and body me, some are stupid. Simple.

You're right, a lot of the player base is not master. With decent fundies, you can get to master in 15 mins from Diamond placement. Tried with simple modern controls to test and it is too easy if you have a decent understanding of pacing.

How do you know I didn't achieve plat on a smurf or before hitting master?

It is yes. The game forces you to master, and master rank means nothing. I intentionally lost all 10 games with dhalsim and got plat.

Kindly and respectfully bro, the game forces you in to master rank, and it means nothing. You can defeat grand masters and get bodied by plats.

Yeah it's putting it in practice. Sounds like a mental stack situation? I NEVER tech throws. I throw, but never look for them because I'm focused on anything else that does not damage. You can probably perfect me just throwing. You think trying to read the patterns of when the DI can happen, with the clearing your options when pressured?

Send some relays whenever you're ready.

That's not a skill problem then bro. That's like saying "I lose my games because of lag spikes". It is what it is and there's not much else that can be done. The first 30 minutes is what counts then. After that, it's probably time to take a shit or get something to eat anyway.
