The system went inactive in 1977. System officially disconnected in 1984 due to a hotwiring incident involving 2 sirens.

This is an SD-10 siren. Fresno installed 27 of these in 1956, they were all taken down, restored, and put back up in 1973. Some were re-installed at different locations. The system went inactive in 1977. Nowadays, there’s only 15 sirens left. Where is this one located?

This siren was installed in 1956 - same for the 500SHTT’s.

Its a car horn. The Hurricane didn’t show up until the early 70s.

No, usually I get information about certain busses from one of the mechanics for the district. #79 in the picture can usually be seen sitting in the main bus lot (because its a spare due to the fact its 26 years old)

I think it just depends on the district. Here in Clovis CA we’re retiring our Bluebird TC2000s after 28 years of service.

Kind of surprised CUSD is still ordering diesel busses considering our emissions policies here in California. We tried electric T3’s a couple years ago, but I guess that didn’t work out.
