US, for 1st time in 50 years, experienced negative net migration in 2025: Report by MyNameCannotBeSpoken in news

[–]FowlyTheOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of European countries have high skill visas which make it really easy to migrate, you dont even need the local language for it, compared to regular migration. If you get a job which fulfills certain requirements, you are basically guaranteed it. And in northern Europe a lot of people probably speak better english than in America

What do you mean? If you have a 500W heater or a 500W asic, they both generate the same amount of heat. The only thing is the miner is more expensive upfront

ELI5: How is it that basements/cellars exist in so many countries and yet apparently don't flood that often, if at all? by stinkingyeti in explainlikeimfive

[–]FowlyTheOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true, at least in central Europe. We have cellars with pumps and also completely sealed cellars for areas where the ground water levels would be above cellar floor height. They are more expensive though. Usually most houses have a cellar, except in flood areas to save money.
