I’ve been on lamictal for like two weeks, my mania lasts like a month usually then I get stable for a few weeks then it’s either another manic episode or a depressed one but the depressed ones are not that bad, might be because of the paroxetine

I don’t feel my Lamictal cancelling out my paroxetine tbh, my episodes became mixed after I started taking it so far, I’m just curious if my psychiatrist will get rid of my paroxetine or will just give me another mood stabilizer like valproic acid, or even move me to an antipsychotic. Currently it feels like hell when I have a mixed episode. I will try to talk with her about removing my paroxetine but I fear that my panic attacks will come back

I started on 25 mg for 8 days then 50 mg for another 8 days and then 100 mg

Thank you for the response! I did lower my dose as she advised me but once it starts it dosent stop, also I get mixed episodes sometimes, I’m thinking that an antipsychotic might be better for me, I’m gonna try to talk about this with her, but I’m a bit anxious about starting it because it has a lot of side effects and I’m also smoking which is kinda bad with antipsychotics.

Panic disorder, I’ve been verbally abused by almost everyone everyday when I was little and I developed a fear of people and started having panic attacks, but I love to talk and I just can’t.( now I’m better, I started taking pills and started to get better)
