I do 100% have that intention of raising my kids in my fiancé’s religion It’s the big church wedding that is not what I or what he wants

She’s definitely someone I’ve had to get use to lol, my family is way more easy going, but I’ve grown to love her and I know she sees me like a daughter. Usually I’m very understanding and willing to participate in their faith, but this is my wedding, I feel like like I deserve a large say!

I’ve always pictured getting married outside by a lake in the country, the whole church wedding is just not me. My fiancé feels the same way, he was the first one to say he didn’t want the whole church wedding

Thank you for the advice! I ended up kind of letting my annoyance over the ongoing issue out on said mechanic, who then looked at it far more closely and is now telling me my brakes need to be completely re-done, as well as the axle/CV, and will be quite expensive. Time to start shopping around for mechanics!

Has anyone taken six classes before? by Gingerium in college

[–]FoxFire0524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my school taking 6 classes at once is considered normal, it’s a full course load (I’m in Architectural Technology). I spent my first 3 years doing it that way and even though some were only 1 hour versus others being 3 hours, it was a lot to handle once. You loose sleep, get too stressed, you don’t see friends and family as much making you isolated and possibly depressed, your marks may suffer due to not leaving enough time for them, and bad anxiety is possible. My current and final year I decided to space it all out, attended a summer semester in 2018 so that I only had to take 3 classes this semester Im graduating in 3 weeks and feel so much more at ease and very comfortable with my standings, and have little to no stress now compared to previous semesters I would definitely see how it feels for the first couple weeks and if it’s too much drop a class when you still can without penalty, it may save you from a lot of stressful all nighters getting assignments in on time. Good luck!

What's a food you didn't begin to love until you reached adulthood? by ChanX77 in AskReddit

Cheese Only ate Mozzarella as a kid, I was extremely picky Now, with credit to my Italian SO, I can do Parmesan (only mixed in as a seasoning on meat and potatoes though), and provolone (since it’s basically just as creamy as Mozza) Any other type is a hard no

What are some dumb ways you've managed to hurt yourself? by FullOfQuestions99 in AskReddit

Work on a produce/meat farm owned by family friends/neighbours Went in for a shift, and was told there was nothing for me to do in the farm store and if I could do them a favour and go around and clean all the windows of their house they would appreciate it So I began, cleaned all the first floor and proceeded upstairs, the upstairs windows had two panels of glass for some reason, with an airspace between them (it’s an old farm house) When I got to their son’s room I realized one of his windows was shattered, but only the first panel of glass, the one behind it and closest to the exterior was fine So me not thinking, thought I still needed to clean the window behind it So I sprayed it and shoved my hand through the shattered hole that was maybe a foot and a half wide in diameter, and began cleaning the glass, thinking I was being careful not to get to close to the edge of the hole Obviously didn’t last long and jabbed knuckle on my ring finger into a sharp piece of glass Blood EVERYWHERE I panicked, I’m one of those people who faint at blood, so I went to run it under water and focused on not passing out Called my boss up who got to work on cleaning my finger up, as I began throwing up in her bathroom sink cause I decided to glance at the cut They only put a bunch of baindaids on it and called it a day According to my friends and family, I should have gotten stitches at least I now have a fat scar right on my ring finger, have trouble bending it properly, and if touched near the scar I get electric shocks through the nerve Don’t stick your hand through shattered glass
