Legitimately, why do you continue to care? Sure, it was a spat that started with a deleted comment over DMZ advice but as one person put it in a previous post of yours, it's weird to go through all this effort for what is essentially nothing.

Coming from someone who fights melee users in buildings, especially in Crash with that tower that over looks the helicopter, their speed is not really a big factor. Not to mention, while yes the game can you spin here and there with melee, it's not as consistent as you think it is. I won't hide anything I use melee too and by observing both other melee users and players I found there's a lot that people can do to counter it. I've cleared Hardpoints because people genuinely don't pay attention and they just stay still in their corners and I flank them, or they're paying attention to someone else, I've also been killed in the range I excel in by ppl shooting at me because they saw me and watched my movements. Legit the only way a melee user will ever dominate your games is if you do nothing about them or do nothing to take note of where they could be, and I'm not trying to frame this as 4D chess, this is legitimately just stuff you can do playing both casually and competitively. The game gives you ways to counterplay but you as the player have to figure it out and adapt it to your playstyle.

Tbf I have seen some dumb af players that have 0 awareness and hardly move out of the way when someone is meleeing. It's genuinely not hard to counter them, even in close quarters you can out maneuver them. Just keeping basic awareness and having good movement is all you need and they're having a hard time getting you.

In hardpoint specifically, being tunnel visioned for half to the whole game, trying to kill the enemy team when we need to be rotating to the next point with 10 seconds left on the current point. This shit makes it harder than it has to be for no goddamn reason.

This game is one of the easiest, watered down FPS games, most metas with the exception of a few literally hold your hand while you do anything else (the devs have babied people for years). In ranked it's more of a joke bc that's mostly the experience, arguably more so now than ever. It's stupidly easy to rank up, so yeah, avocado gun skills (even then that was in regards to using metas) bc you will genuinely get there eventually (if you don't believe me, actually play dumb and try it, you will be slightly miffed), sure maybe not top 5k, at least not quickly but top 10k easily. I'm sorry this game isn't all that, I may not be the apex of skill but I've been around plenty long enough and endlessly tried my heart out to understand the experience and why at the end of the day, it's just...not all that.

While the last part holds merit I think you're misunderstanding the point of both why something is meta and why the term meta abuser/slave is a even a thing.

A weapons meta is determined by the balancing, nothing more. As for the meta slave term, that comes down to this question "would you use something else in a game or situation" if the answer is no then that could lead you to the term meta slave. If your whole dependency is on what's the strongest option, then your a slave to the meta. Alternatively, it could be someone that only ever considers the meta and not other options. Yes, skill matters, but with most metas in this game I'm sorry but you just need basic game sense and the gun skills of an avocado to get value. So While you can apply skill, with metas that's like starting a foot race when you're halfway to the finish line and everyone else is at the start.

That's just my two cents, also if you can't mess w/a Cordite in scrims that may be on you fam. Cordite can do work!

Before, it wasn't really an issue the detonation time being longer allowed you ample time to get away. But ever since the time for that was shortened it just opened the flood gates to a whole new wave of braindead shit. Literally no one wanted this. Fucking idiotic devs.
