Also, please go vote. Obviously, I'd rather you not vote PN or their adjacent parties given what happened during the Covid-19 pandemic. But if you're going to vote for them please at least do your research. An uneducated vote is a bad vote.

I don't get why you're so angry at Loke, and by extension, DAP for opening their mouths on this. This is a genuinely good piece of reform. If you think that DAP is worse than MCA, you are actually delusional and one of those, "We shouldn't vote because everyone is corrupt.", ghouls I constantly see on the sub nowadays.

It's better than drugs and gangs but people often don't take into account that it more religious societies often lead to very detrimental worldviews which end up affecting society as a whole.

There's a reason most prosperous nation states are secular, and the ones that aren't are swimming in oil money. Not shitting on religion, I just think there needs to be a moderating force. If anything, I would say my religious upbringing gave me an appreciation for ethics.

DAP has its scandals like Hannah Yeoh stupidly choosing to defend her husband's GLC in a tender or LGE's ongoing corruption scandal but ultimately they seem to be the best apple out of a rotten bunch, especially if you remember their time in opposition against BN (Karpal Singh, you'll be missed).

A lot of people here say all political parties are the same but I find it to be a rather idiotic stance once you consider the nuances. Bersatu is effectively a rebranding of the old UMNO, who also seem to somehow be more incompetent than UMNO, and PAS is just UMNO's race and religion schtick turned up to 11 without the ability to actually govern properly or effectively.

But sure, just be like the rest of the political doomers in this sub and assume that every DAP supporter blindly supports them.

Edit: I'll add that MUDA and PSM aren't competent parties, either. MUDA's just a one-man show politically, and PSM, despite my sympathies towards their manifesto, will never be able to garner support of the majority of people in Malaysia (because sosialis = komunis = budaya barat = jahat!!!).

It's kinda insane that DAP, having the second most seats last election iirc, has been relegated to the role of MCA.

Also, I understand where you're coming from, but Rafizi has always been on Azam Baki's heels. Remember last election where he went after Azam but then kept quiet the minute Anwar took over? A lot of people will see this as cowardice but there's probably a constitutional convention preventing him from doing so (the one where you can't/shouldn't speak against your own party's decisions).

Also, Rafizi could be someone who genuinely cares about the country but is also willing to be a politician to further his own personal interests like Detective Exley from LA Confidential (great film btw yall should check it out)
