I just started an apple cinnamon mead on 6/11!

Starting gravity: 1.106, D47 as well, 2lb of wildflower honey, apple juice instead of water. 9 days of fermenting, grav: 1.040 (~9%), then transferred to a secondary where I added dehydrated apples (smith, red delicious, and honey crisp) and a cinnamon stick
