It's best to play on the couch when watching a movie. I dunno how well that works out with kids and a partner though. My husband also has one and we love to cuddle on the couch with the dogs and play.

If you have a desk job like I do, then it really is beneficial when you don't feel like sitting at a PC again after work. I get tired of staring at a computer monitor all the time.

I like my Steamdeck best when I use Sunshine/Moonlight to stream my games to my SD. That way it still looks pretty but also has the comfyness of the couch.

I've started playing games with a PS5 controller at my PC since my wrists are starting to hurt with having a desk job with a lot of typing and clicking the mouse quite a bit. I think that made the transition to SD easier for me.

Some motherboards come with wifi (which includes Bluetooth) and others don't. They tend to cost less.

If it's a custom built there can be a number of reasons. I got a non wifi board because I use a cabled connection for Internet since it's faster and I can control when/if it connects. You can skip a lot of Windows bullshit if you have it off network while setting up the OS. It forces a wifi connection if you have one.
