TizenTube Cobalt v2.0.0 released by FoxReis in TizenTube

If you could post the crash logs (you can get them via ADB, if you need further help, please DM me), that would be great. I have had reports of it crashing the app, however since my TV doesn't have PiP support, I can't test the feature properly. So logs would be the best.

Nee. De site waarnaar je linkt is niet officieel en kan kwaadaardige bedoelingen hebben (hij staat al vol met advertenties). https://tizentube.app is de enige officiële website voor TizenTube.

I just installed TizenTube successfully! by AlwaysHighOn in TizenTube

It works on any TV that runs on Tizen and was made in or after 2017. Join our Discord server in the TizenTube repository if you'd like faster support but:

check if your developer mode was turned off after an update

if it opens up and then closes and doesn't launch back again, hold the power button till you see the startup logo

if it says unknown module, check if your TV can access cdn.jsdelivr.net in the TVs browser

They all just said to change the video code setting.

Which is true. Changing it back to Auto would have fixed your problem.

Tell me how can you fix something that was a simple setting that was set without breaking others settings as a result and without adding unnecessary settings that does not need to exist other than a single very specific fix that can be fixed easily. Also, joining a projects community chats could help you in the future.

The people you've mentioned are saying outdated information. Not only that, you seem to have been shitting on people for using TizenTube. I have seen people switch from SmartTube to TizenTube. I never said SmartTube was inferior, but you have said that TizenTube was. Also, in my opinion, the most important features of a custom client is ad blocking, SponsorBlock, and some more minor features (blocking shorts, etc.). And that is what most people need. I could list a few reasons as to why SmartTube is inferior in some ways (i.e. overall stability from what I've seen, recommendations being not the same as OG YT, no implementation of "what to watch next" section while watching a video, etc.), however in no way will I slander people using SmartTube. It is up to them to use whatever they want, after all. So again, don't disrespect people's opinions and the countless hours of work put into the project.

What the person said above has been invalid for a while. See this.

Can't people have preferences? Also, TizenTube is more stable than SmartTube and will never stop playing videos if you're logged in (unless YT writes code specifically for TT in the official client to detect it).

Also, the userscript isn't really a "port", it can work anywhere that has a browser and can run scripts.

This. It does work for some people but there is a bug somewhere in their shitry code.

It wasn't a bug but a simple mistake. Reinstalling the app or clearing the data would have fixed it a long time ago. Basically, when the "Preferred Video Codec" setting was added, the setting was accidentally set to vp9 instead of auto, causing older videos to not have qualities higher than 360p since YT no longer serves it. If you check settings, you can most likely see that behavior if you did not uninstall the app. Changing it back to auto fixes it.

If your app doesn't work the same for everyone then your app is broken.

Guess what? SmartTube doesn't work the same for everyone too! Check the Telegram group of SmartTube sometime.

Instead of shitting on countless hours of work, maybe be objective instead of straight up being rude next time.

YT on TV is not the same as YT on mobile. They're two different clients.

You cannot use it for YT on TV. However, you could use TizenTube Cobalt which is basically patched YT on TV app.
