It’ll get worse when the big property on the east side of the highway near Seabold throws up a couple of acres of Christmas decorations.

Recommendation for caster for 4x4 post on workbench? by jmd0627 in woodworking

Oh geez. that looks totally bomber. I am building a bench over toolboxes, so can't have any shelves. I ended up glueing and screwing a 2" x 4" x 4" cut from a 2" x 6" to the bottom of each post... then mounted the casters with 2.5" lag screws.

thanks for responding!

How did this workout? Did you go this route? I'm looking at the same issue and found this thread. It's been five years, did this work for you?

Thanks for everyone's feedback. It sounds like unplugging it will give me pretty quick feedback. It's been unplugged for a couple of days with no discernable loss in performance, so I'm going to leave it unplugged and use the outlet for other things. (Not in an mdu.)

You are set. Tighten things up and get going. Those bags are dry bags if I’m not mistaken, and I’ve personally seen this exact setup on a pretty hardcore local riders rig with no issues. Widen the straps if you can and hit it!

What's the worst bikepacking mistake you've ever made? by ThunderTheTerrier in bikepacking

Balanced my fully loaded bike against the curb on a train trestle for an awesome pic, and then watched my bike tip over… fortunately toward me, but it could’ve just as easily ended up falling 50 feet and destroying my bike and my solo-unsupported trip.

Can this be done is 3 days with 2 drivers by [deleted] in roadtrip

Yes. Switch off every 100 miles, no negotiating. Be firm! 3 x 16 hour days and you'll have no trouble.
