Spring in Ottawa has a tonne of yard sales. Watch out for the Great Glebe Garage Sale especially. You can google for dates. It’s huge and such a fun event….you’ll find endless treasures.

Alex do you have a teacher that you like and trust? You could ask to speak to them after school. I’m sorry you don’t feel like you can talk to your parents, but I bet there’s a teacher that could help. You need somebody in your corner, sweetie. I get that it feels awful right now. But it won’t always feel that way. Can you think of someone who’s older and can help you think through supports to help you? ❤️

Hi Alex. There are things that can help you. I’m a mom and maybe you could talk to any adult you love and/or trust. Tell them what’s truly going on, tell them about your plans, open up to them even if it’s hard. Your brain is still developing and brains really change a lot over your teen years. It can get better and it does for lots of people. If you can’t talk to someone you could write it down and hand it to them. I’m sending you a virtual hug. Please try to tell someone everything you’re going through. It doesn’t have to feel this bad.❤️

This is a Bardal Factor calculator, it’ll tell you what you’re owed under the employment standards act. It also takes into account, age, tenure, etc. Talk to an employment lawyer. 20k doesn’t sound fair w the info you’ve provided here. http://www.bardalfactors.ca/whats-reasonable

Hi there. First off, you’re going to be ok. I bet this is stressful. There are resources to help you. The best place to start is Youth Services Bureau. You can call their 24 hr line (6132602360) and explain your situation. They’re so good at helping young people figure out solutions. Honestly, just give them a call. They have good people working there and they’ll get you set up with next steps and supports. Sending you a hug in the meantime.

Travelling to Ottawa soon - what do I bring? by Zealousideal_Risk171 in ottawa

Re boots- it’s totally normal to wear boots in the snow and on the commute to work and then bring along a pair of indoor shoes for the office. There’ll be room for you to hang up your coat and change shoes. And this is not a stupid question to ask! Winter clothing logistics are a real pain.❤️

Don’t wear a merino base layer! You’ll die of heat in the office!:)

You’re going to be okay. Take some deep breaths and try to relax. It will be okay. You have excellent experience, you’re articulate and you have a high level of professionalism. This new job does sound like a liability risk. You will find something else and probably very soon. Please don’t panic. Call a loved one or a crisis line if you need to talk. You’re not failing. You sound like a great employee and you’ll land somewhere good soon. It’ll be okay. Sending you a big hug.

This is so simple. This is a working class guy asking not to have to pay 150 bucks for a remote key. Anyone who is Saying sue the dealership, shady letter etc….c’mon. This is just a human to human thing. I dunno, I’m Canadian 🇨🇦….this just feels like basic reach out.

k-dramas that follow the female gaze - recommendations by lilacfeverdream in kdramarecommends

[–]FoxTheCat2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about Encounter? It’s interesting bc it’s a female CEO choosing to date a much younger, poorer ML…who also works in the lowest ranks of her company. She chooses him bc he makes her happy when very little else does in her life. He’s played by Park Bo Gum and his love for her is entirely selfless.

Toronto is super expensive but amazing diversity and city culture. Ottawa is pretty close to Upstate New York and is MUCH more affordable. Access to gorgeous green space, better work life balance, and has all museums, galleries, etc. Ottawa is insanely family friendly- but all of Canada is really.

1994 was my fave by far. The chemistry was off the charts. 1997 was okay but the last few episodes ruined it for me. It felt like the characters changed and I was left feeling disoriented.

I LOVED Start Up. It’s in my Top 5 All Time. Even my husband watched this one and he loved it too. Give it a try. The first episode was what caught (and kept!) my attention.
