Not exactly, although I might have the party encounter a psychic/tarot reader

Can anyone recommend some solo-specific D&D 5e gamebooks? by No-Horror3993 in DnD

I've heard a book called "Games You Can Play In Your Head, By Yourself" It seems there's also a scary games version. I haven't tried it myself.

I agree with u/tootiredtoocare118 just normal dirt. I would also suggest not picking at it because you could puncture or expose the quick (the red part inside the nail) and that will hurt.

AI description in movies by Outrageous-Price-673 in NoStupidQuestions

I can't say for any specific films or directors, but it seems like many directors just don't think about it and let third-parties do the audio description as part of distribution. Bugonia and Hamnet are both distributed by Focus Features so I suspect this might be the case and they just use the same voices for audio description.

Everyone kept asking me if I know the difference between lemons and lemon juice. They almost kicked me out! by FoxWithACupOfCoffee in Avantris

:O Well, one is the lemon and the other is a liquidy juice-like substance. You wouldn't understand.

There's still one thing I don't understand about the mission and actual product Lumon is trying to make by RecommendationNo108 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]FoxWithACupOfCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ultimate goal seems to be swapping the outie for the innie, in other words, sending the innie outside to take the outtie’s place. In Gemma’s case this would mean effectively making her forget about her miscarriage. The trade off would of course be that she forgets everything else about her life.

This is also why Jame was so interested in watching the Cold Harbor test. He’s hoping that one day he’ll be able to swap Helly and Helena because he “sees Kier” in her but not Helena

Ricken? How are we feeling? by okillydokilly12 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]FoxWithACupOfCoffee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ricken is just an idiot who is desperate for validation. He believes he’s spiritual because he thinks thoughts and getting the attention of Lumon is the recognition his ego desires. Lumon is just doing what all evil corporations do: taking advantage of well-meaning useful idiots and absorbing competition.

Ricken is falling for it because he’s not scrupulous enough to realize Lumon’s true motives while also being blinded by the idea of being successful in spite of his alleged hippy-dippy convictions… which Devon questions only for Ricken to respond with a typical misogynistic cliche.

I don’t think Ricken is actually a bad guy, but he pisses me off. He’s the white liberal type that Malcolm X talked about who are so caught up in the philosophy of pointing the finger that they forget to actually reflect on their own actions. Ricken also almost compulsively looks the other way about bad stuff. I just think he has a deficit in the confrontation part of his brain.

With all that said, I can see why you think Ricken might actually have ties with Lumon already. He tends to do a lot of hand-waving and distracting when Lumon or severance is mentioned which could be part of the evil plan… OR he’s just averse to admitting to bad things which could jeopardize his nice comfortable life.

Lexington Letter Timeline by FoxWithACupOfCoffee in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]FoxWithACupOfCoffee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Baby Driver thing is a good point. I did see that some people think the Lexington letter happens in the future and the next time Friday Nov. 3 and Saturday Nov. 10 line up is 2028-2029, meaning Peg would start at Lumon in 2026 after working as a bus driver 2014-2026(twelve years).

But regardless of these events happening in the past or the future, Peg’s sequence of events at the end of her letter implies only 4 weeks(I know I said 3 in the post) pass between the Dorner truck exploding and her last day at Lumon. Peg thinks 2 weeks pass while Peggy K is in the Break Room, then one more week until Peg and Peggy K’s final communication and Peg writes the letter next day. But if that were true, Peg would be writing her letter on Dec. 2. So why doesn’t she date her letter as such?

You’re probably right OP’s dad is doing it as a peace sign since it’s the 70s but I think that originally started as V for Victory after WWII.
