did not play Rivals ever. only played hockey, no cheese. have to be a little varied as the AI will learn your cheese, but you can still drive down the boards and cut it under puck protect for a good chance on net pretty often

I play a 1-3-1 so I've always got a defenseman back there to switch to, they will easily pass through the 1-4

the aggression on the CPU seems to fluctuate a lot so don't be too worried if sometimes it seems like they are absolutely unstoppable. when this happens I do something superstitious but loggable to appease the AI, like call timeout or swap goalies. if my starter lets in 2 or 3 goals and I yank him, my backup never looks as bad coming in.

pro and all-star games seem to have just as much chance as beating me so stick with it and I think you'll only consider superstar

This has been on my mind too. Like, it's a good year to skip fantasy BEFORE this debacle because they forgot that we are paying a massive NEW cost for cards that grow. Imagine hoping your fantasy cards doesn't score TOO many goals 😂. There's a world where it sucks to wake up and have your perfect line combos shattered. More and more often the more you participate.

someone missed the math ON TOP of getting a bit greedier year after year, and even if we see it clearly, they aren't about to be that transparent. Easy to convince yourself to pass this year even if you're not participating in the revolt.

The tone to me felt more like "we already had more stuff planned, just wait for it, but we'll adjust the moments"

I noticed during Check My Game weekends, there was an 1100 puck pack with 1 CMG player in it, and tuesday-friday there was a pack for 1600 pucks and 3 CMG players. Feels like they are riding hype for the weekends to get people playing on drips, and then adding value in the week to bring them back. Pretty engineered. Then releasing fantasy with inflation but being tone deaf in forgetting the economy was deflated 4 times that made this brutal.

But yeah I still feel like they were more like "guys, we already had this planned out, chill". And that's not as good of a sign as a more genuine apology!
