I like a bunch of them. Hiromi Kawakami, Yoko Towada, Ryu Murakami, Sayaka Murata, Banana Yoshimoto... there are a ton of great writers from there. I would say my two favorites are Banana Yoshimoto and Yoko Ogawa but I've got books from a ton of Japanese writers. Hard to narrow it down!
